'20 TN ATH Reggie Grimes (Oklahoma commit)

As a boy you are not a man, but you are taught how to be a man as you nature.

As a high school kid playing football you are not a pro, but you will be taught and developed into a great football player as you are progressed alone...the reward will be a pro-career in football and/or a good education.

Many of us are critical of youth football players.....as though these kids need to play high school ball like they are pro players..it takes time to be great...

None of us in here became good in our jobs until we became trained correctly, be it lawyer, coach, engineer or whatever you do.

Reggie will be fine and will do well no matter where he go...its obvious his talent has been notice by top evaluators. It is what it is.

We are allowing to much of our state talent get away and do well elsewhere regardless how good the team they went to.

I remember some of you posted negative about Anderson, who went in to USC and won Defensive MVP in there spring game. And word is he is a monster and developing his craft while waiting in the 2 senior in front of him to graduate. Knox is on the NCAA freshman All American watch list.. We cant keep allowing these guys to leave our backyard

Other coaches are using what we say on the site's as a recruiting tool to win kids. They show kids these post . And tell them Tenn fans dont like you. Facts

Knox has caught 27 passes for 366 yds so far this season, but the bulk of that was at the beginning of the season against the cupcakes. In Ark's last 5 games, all against SEC competition, he has caught 6 passes for 67 yds, and those catches were against Aub, MSU and UK. Against Bama and LSU he had 0 catches. I think we will survive without those numbers.

Drew hughes our Director of Player Personell(I think) was at Knox Qb club. I read his comments and found it very interesting. Some of the things I wondered if they happened here. He said that their evals include getting feet in the ground and talking to opposing HS HC that have played a kid to get the real details because the kids Hs coach will always feel the need to push their player. So you can validate what they are saying from the opposing coaches that tell you how hard it was to play that guy. They also focus on the game film of the kids playing their top 3 opponents to see how they play when it matters most and with better 1 on 1 matchups. This is probably why this staff rarely has any busts so far.

The numbers are tight, and coaches aren't sure where he would fit. The timing of his decision will impact this one.
well then that has to go, at least at some level, to his level of "want to" to be at TN...as much as our level of interest...

so it sounds to me like both sides of this are waiting to see if something better comes along.

If he announces Thursday, it'll probably be SCAR. This is a big recruiting weekend for UT and we'll see where we stand with some of these guys.

is he coming this weekend?
and he's announcing on Thanksgiving day or next Thursday?

Oklahoma 247 said he was never a take for Alabama, and the thought was Oklahoma wouldn’t have room either, but they have decided they will accept his commitment if he wants in.
He‘s got the 247 folks doing flips over there. CBs all over the place.

Kid should have a huge chip on his shoulder going into college, as the narrative on him is mostly negative from what I can tell.

Best of luck to him if he goes to OU, they are certainly in need of defensive playmakers. Hope he goes out there and has success. Feel like there was mutual disinterest in this recruitment.

Should’ve had that chip on his shoulder in high school and his situation would be different right now.
