'20 TN ATH Reggie Grimes (Oklahoma commit)

Still like him at TE, particularly if we're not landing any other big name tight end this year anyway. Maybe he's a project there, but I think he's capable of playing there.

Unless Grimes is definitely bent on enrolling early, I'd consider waiting until to February to sign. He might have more options. Then, he might not either.

i think there's a good chance he would be one of the ones benefit from waiting to sign.....assuming he has heart set on bigger things than USCe, who seems to be his biggest suitor presently?

This ones gonna be funny because the ”we are currently 9th in recruiting” in the SEC crowd is the same as the “this kid sucks” crowd.

Heads gonna pop off when they look at the rankings after this one.

I trust this staff and don’t have a strong opinion one way or the other. Would I rather have a Big O or a Hardy...absolutely...but if this staff thinks they can find value at a position of need “let’s ride”. Unlike the last staff they aren’t trying to win the press conference.

Same. If they want him fine, if they don’t fine.

I find it comical that Volnation thinks this guy isn't a take. Hes a consensus top 50 player.

Take him and mold him into a star period. Hes the type of athlete anyone would take a risk on. (Some believe he looks like Tarzan plays like Jane!)

Its not that we don't think he is, Pruitt doesn't think he is. We aren't taking him.

You realize what you have to do to get stars right? You go to the websites camps and "look the part" you get stars. You want a commitable offer you go to the teams camps and compete for them. It appears he doesn't have a lot of commitable offers right now, everyone seems to be slow playing him as a fallback or Geronimo option if all else fails. That should tell you where he really falls in the recruiting cycle.

How do you determine the difference in a commitable offer and a just for fun offer?

People are going to lose their minds if this guy does well at another sec school
You can only take so many kids and sometimes you have to trust what you see on tape. If he blows up at Carolina so be it but nothing on film suggests that will happen. I mean if you have a multimillion dollar job are you betting on a kid that doesn’t seem to have a passion for the game? Doesn’t stand out on tape? Doesn’t have an even decent stats?

Plays like JANE'S SHY LITTLE SISTER...he is ranked so highly because he tore up the recruiting camps with his agility and his body- certainly not his hitting. Somebody will take a chance on him- hoping that the light finally comes on...My experience tells me if the light ain't on by now, it ain't coming on.

Such an expert you are, and how did your gloomy TN doesn't win without Mauer under center fruit fall?

I get it, you hate Grimes, now give it a rest.

As a boy you are not a man, but you are taught how to be a man as you nature.

As a high school kid playing football you are not a pro, but you will be taught and developed into a great football player as you are progressed alone...the reward will be a pro-career in football and/or a good education.

Many of us are critical of youth football players.....as though these kids need to play high school ball like they are pro players..it takes time to be great...

None of us in here became good in our jobs until we became trained correctly, be it lawyer, coach, engineer or whatever you do.

Reggie will be fine and will do well no matter where he go...its obvious his talent has been notice by top evaluators. It is what it is.

We are allowing to much of our state talent get away and do well elsewhere regardless how good the team they went to.

I remember some of you posted negative about Anderson, who went in to USC and won Defensive MVP in there spring game. And word is he is a monster and developing his craft while waiting in the 2 senior in front of him to graduate. Knox is on the NCAA freshman All American watch list.. We cant keep allowing these guys to leave our backyard

Other coaches are using what we say on the site's as a recruiting tool to win kids. They show kids these post . And tell them Tenn fans dont like you. Facts
