'20 TN ATH Reggie Grimes (Oklahoma commit)

Maybe he just thought he wasn’t a smart person for some reason..... 🤷🏻‍♂️👀

Or

Maybe it is because a lot of kids who do interviews are not well spoken no matter the color of their skin be it purple, red, yellow, black, or white.....

Most of the time when my oldest son speaks I’m very thankful he’s really good at football...

I looked back at a newspaper article with an interview of me after a football game..... (about 11 years ago) I definitely was not well spoken lol.... and I like to think I am an all around well spoken person most of the time.

There used to be a clip of me from a post game interview that I’m clearly concussed. It’s comical and a little terrifying. I’m kept asking the interviewer what time the game started lol

I would much rather hear his explanation cause even if it isnt about race, why do you expect anybody to not be well spoken in the first place. That to me seems like a form of stereotype or him judging somebody by the way they look.

Hmmm.... I can’t speak for Aaron but it’s surprising when you hear a kid his age that has his priorities straight and is articulate. Nothing to do with race, more to do with maturity at his age.

I can try to get you transcript but it’s 27 minutes worth of Reggie talking lol.
He has a lot to say. Not idle words, but pertinent information. Not the usual babble. Heck he described the players on his team, the offensive scheme of their next opponent, even a descriptive breakdown of his top 5.
Bout to get racist up in here.
It wasn’t a race issue until you threw it out there. This was your fabrication and it became a fun toy to play with at my expense. You didn’t listen to the interview cause “You don’t have 27 minutes to listen to a high school kid.” I did, while cooking dinner and it was one of the best interviews I’ve ever heard. I’ve sat in on job interviews from 40 year olds working in a specific job field for 20+ years that weren’t that organized and articulate. If you did listen you would have heard @3:00 “Did they put you in charge of publicity at the school yet because that might be a career path for you later on?” Followed by Matthew: (surprised voice) “That was a heck of a disclaimer!”
@cHiZzLeVOL A+ job for stirring the pot.

Because he is what 17? That interview sounded like a grown man in his 30’s. Humble. Intelligent. Critical thinking responses. Well mannered.
I’ve never seen you post in the RF so I don’t expect you to know my “character.” Funny that the implication of “surprisingly” you ran with was stereotypical, judgmental of their looks, and racist.
I grew up with Reggie Grimes and I know his family well so this comment is more personal than anything.
Since it’s so personal to you, you let them know how surprisingly well spoken he is. I thoroughly enjoyed that 27minutes.

EXACTLY! Thank you Chad for posting. Nailed it.

I gave him a hand up, not a backhand. The boy can talk, even Matt and the other interviewer were impressed.
define well spoken.

i'll hang up and await your dissertation.
exactly lmao

I had a quote of mine come out that got me a detention in high skew. We played this christian private school and I said "Yall must look forward to getting away from those priests every once in awhile". I'm better now lol

these last couple pages....

Sad how easily offended and quick to judge/ assume some are. Grow up
Some people just want to watch the world burn. There are those who are actually offended and those that want to stir up the snowflakes as well. World we be much better if we judged people on their intent instead of their mistakes.

I'm sorry if I started all this! I thought this is probably what you meant, but you said seriously so thought maybe you knew about his high school he transferred from.

Bro we wanted you to realize what you said could easily be taken out of context. When you use the word “Surprisingly”, and don't explain why your surprised its up from assumption. You gave the right answer my friend so I’m not upset. I will tell Reggie Grimes next time I see him and that you gave him that compliment. He is a smart guy and I hope he goes to UT. I dont know you and you dont know me so we can get to know each other you seem like a good dude.

so does anyone know wth we are with Grimes?
supposedly between us and USCe...unless bama comes in with a comittable offer, then that throws a monkey wrench in his recruitment. some think he's leaning USCe, but we're pushing......Pruitt has a good relationship with the family from their days at Bama....i think he's committing during the season.
