Tl;dr

The restrictions are not real clear on metal roofs. There are 9 metals in the neighborhood already. We picked a roof on another house and bought the exact same roof so that shouldn't be the issue. I think there is history between the board and the homeowner. They don't like each other.

You should attend the next homeowner's association meetin, apologize for their inconvenience, then write them a check for $166 bucks.

We have 2days of decent weather before rain sets in. We will resume tear off of old roof at 730
As you stated yesterday the neighborhood has had more than 30 days to respond (actually more than 60) so per the covenants we will resume work.

I apologize for pushing the issue but do not wish for the dills house to receive water damage that might result in more wasted time and money.
I appreciate your understanding and your admitting the problems HHHA has had with lost forms and information the current approval system.

Him

I understand but also realize this is our first opportunity to review the request and may take a day or two...some are out of town. Going forward, please mail all request and we will acknowledge reciept then review the request.

Me

The roof is open on a significant portion of the roof and can not wait unless HHHA is agreeing to be responsible for all potential water damage. Again by the covenants the approval is in place as it has been in longer than 30 days. As you stated in or conversation yesterday.

Waiting on his reply

The work continues

Slice,

Does your construction team need a guy to just stand around, drink cheap beer and point out all the codes you're violating? If so, let me know. I have a resume ready.

It is up to you going forward. We are not responsible for anything related to a request we are in the process of reviewing. I understand what the C&Rs say.

Me

Actually nothing is up to me at this point. I'm just the contractor. The decision will be made by you and #### #####. What do you want me to tell ###$? What is your official position at this point?

Him

Tell him yesterday was the first time we weremade aware of the requst. We need time to review. You stated you turned it in 2 mos ago to give us time to review it. A few more days iss reasonable. What are the names of the other 2 request you tuned in at that time?

Me

I have a schedule to keep. If we don't work my employees don't get paid. I feel we've been reasonable and there is work that can be done but we will start putting metal on first thing Thursday.
