So...I have a flooring stapler I bought at Home Depot about 6 weeks ago. It was about 400$. It broke the other day half way threw laying flooring at a customers house. I took the tool back to home depot. I know the rule is they send them off to have them repaired. I can't be without it so I asked if they could make an exception this time. The employee called for a supervisor who was very pleasant. She looked it over and sent an employee to get a tool to trade it out.
Then from nowhere another manager, Dave, shows up. He didn't introduce himself he just said "I'm sick of these kinda people" under his breath. Then he looks at me and says is this you?. I said "what did you say?". He says slowly "is this you?!?". I said "no Shat azz, what did you say before that?". He then said "all we can do for you is send it off". By now the employee has the new gun. He turns to the supervisor and said "no exchanges, send it off". Then he left.
As he left I said hey! He kept walking.
I let them send it off.
I then went to Lowes next door and bought another gun.

I figured out that I've spent 52k$ at home depot this year so far.
This week I've spent 3k at Lowes that would have gone to home depot before the issue.

My question is, should I email Home Depot or just never go there again?

Oh, and 25,000th post. Woohoo

If you were a real deek, you should have went after the manager and explained to him that you aren't "These kind of people". You should have let him know the business that he will be losing by being a prick, imo.

Also, find out dave's last name and send your complaint to the top. If you've spent that kind of money there, they should have gift wrapped the new piece of equipment with a bow on top.

I don't know how you kept your cool, honestly.

Update.

Customer service has now called Saturday and Sunday to make sure I have heard from the store GM and to let me know the DM will be in touch this week.

So far I've heard they're sorry but I don't get the warm fuzzy feeling that they really are.

Where will the people in the parking lot look for work?

Lowes next door.

If my high school buddy Steve wasn't the GM this would be different. I spoke to him yesterday and told him to treat me like any customer he didn't know.
We will see what he comes up with. I'm not giving them a pass because I know Steve.

Heard from the regional manager today. He expressed his disappointment in Dave. He said he was sorry for the Sh!t azz behavior of his manager. I told him Steve had already said these things yet I still don't feel warm and fuzzy about the depot. Mike asked what they could do to make it better. I told him to call me when he thinks of something.
