i don't see why someone thinks that rooting for the colts against the bears is doing wrong against the titans

I personally do not understand why some consider it a sin not to root for the Titans. A lot of folks had favorite teams before the Titans came to Tennessee. I like the Titans and like to see them do well. I rooted hard for them, and was very disappointed when they lost to the Rams. But, I liked the Colts before the Titans came here. I became a Colts fan when the Cowboys stuck it to Landry. I just couldn't stomach Jerry Jones. I have lived in Tennessee all my life, and just because the Titans are not my favorite team, DOES NOT make me less of a Tennessean! That is close to one of the most ridiculous things I have read in a while.

Real Tennesseans know how to spell "Tennesseans."

Go Colts! Nothing wrong with rooting for Peyton's team ... he's a Vol, man.
Peyton isnt a Vol anymore. Cheer for Travis Henry, he is a Titan and a "Vol" if you are gonna put it like that.

WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Titans are not in the SB! And, as a Colts fan, if the Titans were.......I'd cheer for them. But geez, they aren't.:bash:

im cheering for him too for the great things he did for the school, but to follow the colts because we had one player get drafted by them....hell, why arent you complaining about Tee not playing? He is our NC winner, something Peyton couldn't do, along with beat Florida.

No the guy who will watch a Florida QB beat peyton like old times. GO TITANS GO!!!! VInce Young 4 president 2008!!!!!!!!!

I don't really get this. I like the Titans..they're not in the super bowl. Go Vince Young. Doesn't mean that Peyton can't win won without ruining my day, for God's sake.

There were a few other guys on that 1998 team, too. Why don't you start a threading whining about all those guys not being in the NFL?

is this Voloholic guy kidding?? How could he possibly hate the Colts?? They've supported Manning to become the best QB in the NFL and as a result he's helped out UT quite a bit too. If you don't like the Colts you don't like UT.

Right, I mean only one of the most famous plays in the history of the NFL: The Music City Miracle. Oh and falling one yard short in the Superbowl, Steve Mcnair, Eddie George, now Vince Young. The only thing the colts are remembered for is losing to drunk Joe as a 18 point favorite and Jim Mora saying "playoffs?"

So what you are saying is that the Titans are famous for a play that quite a few people feel was illegal, losing a game, a QB that now plays for one of your archrivals, a running back that doesn't like UT, and a QB that's played half a season. That's some tradition.

I don't know if I'd go that far. There certainly isn't any reason to hate them. It seems like a lot of people are mad that Peyton never won a national championship at UT, but he might be winning a world championship for the Colts.

A person who styles himself "Voloholic" sounds positively giddy to root against Peyton Manning, yet trumpets a Longhorn for president. There's a bit of a disconnect there.

You're jealous for our future. That's all. The Colts will win a SB and then be last in the division for awhile like the titans were, meanwhile we will dominate the south and win our title.

Peyton doesnt play for UT anymore. He likes the Vols and Titans like most people from TN. Young is on the Titans.

Honestly I'd say it's a pretty close split between Colts and Titans fans in Tennessee.

Do you not read entire posts? Or, do you just scan them? I was a Colts fan long before Peyton was drafted by them. Peyton being a Vol, and getting his shot is the icing on the cake for me.

If he prefers Vince Young after one season to one of the Vols' all time greats, then perhaps he ought to consider a different nickname. Apparently his loyalties lie with the Oilers.

Alot of people state that Peyton is the reason they're a fan. I respect you having followed them for your lifetime.

Btw I live in Dallas. And if you lived where I do you would hate hate hate the longhorns. Crappiest fans ever. They don't know squat about Texas but they can sure bust out their longhorn t-shirts. They're such bandwagon fans I swear. Half of em jumped off this year. There's a little part of me that doesn't like the Titans because of how much I hate Texas.

The future for the Colts = Super Bowl. The future for the Titans = not tough enough to make the playoffs in the AFC.

It would not hurt my feelings if the Titans packed up there crappy operation and took it elsewhere........

Go VOLS!
