the titans offense is horrible

or is the Jaguars defense that good? 6 of their 7 victories have been the offense getting things done.

I thought VY was "one of the best" though?!

Haha

he's doing better than any other rookie quarterback right now, or ever, he has more wins as a rookie than Peyton Manning or Dan Marino. His QB rating was higher than Garrard's yesterday.

great win for the Titans. I don't see them making the playoffs but they're going in the right direction.

We're setting ourselves up for a run at the playoffs next season.

one thing about jax...they are so inconsistent. they seem to have enough talent to compete with anybody, especially on defense, yet they continually underperform...strange team the jags are.

Young QBs = Inconsistency

Garrard had a day he'll never forget, and he'll learn from.

Young was never on the field long enough to get anything going, and give the Jax defense it's due... those guys are good up front.

Vince will have still more screwy outings, but the upside is tremendous.

They're finding ways to win... nothing wrong with winning, last I checked, anyway.

And I'm sure VolinZona was directing that comment at those that came out and said VY was one of the best after defeating the juggernaut from Houston with his legs.

the future is bright. start finnegan over hill and don't resign Floyd Reese. it looks like we could get asante samuel or nate clements in free agency.

You are correct. I think VY is doing very well for himself as a rookie and looks like he has high upside. That being said, VY isn't doing as well as some imply.

Let's compare VY's passer rating of 65.9 to other QBs who started in their rookie years.

Chris Weinke - 62.0
Alex Smith - 40.8 (7 games)
Ben Roethlisberger - 98.1
Jake Plummer - 73.1
Kyle Boller - 62.4
David Carr - 62.8
Bruce Gradkowski - 65.9
Joey Harrington - 59.9
Byron Leftwich - 73.0
Matt Leinart - 71.7
Eli Manning - 55.4
Peyton Manning - 71.2

So, no, VY isn't having the best rookie QB season ever. He's not even having the best one THIS year.

Leinart is really coming on, as well as Cutler in his limited action.

There never really was any question about those two being better pure QBs than VY, for those in touch with reality, anyway.

...and that's the difference with VY. He can do more with his legs. He has a longer way to go as far as throwing it and whatnot, he's not lacking the athleticism to make a play out of nowhere.

Example. Yesterday someone screwed up, could've been Young or the RB, and blew the play, so VY just ran for the first down to the left. Being able to run from the QB position is a definite luxury that he'll always have going for him.

In his defense, he barely even saw the field during the second half. I'm pretty sure I saw he and Travis Henry playing Monopoly on the sideline.

Jaws thinks Cutler can lead the Broncs to super Sunday.

Not so much the legs as the heart... And the broad shoulders to carry the team...

Yep... great poise. That's what I've been most impressed by. Some guys crumble under pressure... VY certainly seems to have "it" whenever it comes to crunch time.
