The slower DDR3/ESRAM configuration is only part of the Xbone's design problems. It also allocates a larger portion of that RAM for the operating system footprint. Remember, the Xbone runs 3 separate operating systems; one for Live, one for Kinect, and one for the UI. Each OS taking up about 1 GB of RAM. That only leaves a total of approx 5 GB of RAM for gaming performance. The PS4 on the other hand only runs 1 centralized OS that eats up nearly 2 GB of RAM, leaving a little over 6GB for gaming performance. That's about a 1 GB advantage for the PS4. It may not seem like a lot but 1GB can make a huge difference! Plus the PS4's GDDR RAM is faster! The system memory bandwidth on PS4 is 176.0 GB's compared to only 68.3 GB's on the Xbone.
Another performance advantage the PS4 has over Xbone is in the graphics chip. The PS4 chip can do up to 50% more raw shaders than the Xbone graphics chip. Peak shader throughput on PS4 is 1.84 teraflops compared to only 1.23 teraflops on Xbone.
No matter how you slice it, the PS4 IS the better performer by a considerable margin and (thanks to MS forcing Kinect into the box), the cheaper console.
What do you think of the game so far?
There is a pretty steep learning curve when first beginning. The style of play is different than recent fps and the maps are very intricate and very big. Sometimes I lose focus on the game and find myself just wandering around the map. On the smaller maps it can get chaotic sometimes. It would be interesting if the future dlc included a bot-less mode to calm the chaos.
Teammates, and good ones, are a must in every game mode. If you get matched on a bad team it will ruin your experience.
It is so fun to be able to get from one side of a big map to the other without touching the ground. Wallrun to zip lines to riding your teammate titans.

Good post. Unlike most shooters, movement is going to play a huge role in this game, IMO. Those who can wall run and jump fluidly from platform to platform will have a huge advantage.
And shoot while doing it. Can't tell you how many times I have been on the wrong end of a duel because I stop moving while shooting and he is double jumping all over the place
Me too, still tempted to buy the Xbox One just for this game.
I broke down and bought myself one for titanfall, also bought forza. I'm very pleased with my decision, both games are great. Thought about trading my ps4 in for it but I know I would regret that when infamous and the show come. First world problems.

If the PS4 doesnt bring a great racer to the table this year, I will jump on a xbone sooner than later.
Nice! I have a PS4 and I am pleased with it. Ready for Infamous and the Show. If I buy an Xbox One it will be for Titanfall and Forza.
I'm trading in my PS4 to get the Titian Fall Bundle. All my friends own X1's and gamestop is offering something right now where I'll get back pretty much what I paid for the system. I was a 360 user before I made the jump to the PS.
I would not trade it in. Depending on what ps4 supplies are like in your area, you could get much more than trade in value easily and probably get more than you paid for the ps4 initially.
