First we go to facemasks, then we start using the forward pass, build our stadium larger, add a jumbotron, and start broadcasting on television. TELEVISION!! Now we're playing copycat again with black jerseys. What's next, using gloves to help catch the ball better?

It's ridiculous. I also heard we want to be like the NFL so we got NFL coaches. And to top it all off, we're going to wear orange when we play Bama, just to copy USC and UCLA.

Good grief.

I hope this isnt going to start another one of those god forsaken black jersey threads again. I will start off by saying NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!!!!

honestly, i was just baffled that he just got really angry over something (a rumor) someone claimed to have had heard from their friend a player who wanted to remain unnamed

....i mean i don't like the black jersey talk either, but he kinda got real upset at a rumor with no backing (no offense jwells; don't take it the wrong way)

I to have hated these stupid trends like forward passes and 100,000 seat stadiums. I think we should go back to leather helmets and barren grass fields ala the movie Leatherheads.

While we're at it can someone please tell me why women are allowed to attend games that was another bad bandwagon move. :wacko:

Actually, if wearing orange jerseys gets the team fired up and we beat Bama and Fla or any other rival, then lets do it. Tradition is nice but wins are better.

I was just saying this thread shouldn't be merged. It's not about Black Jerseys. It's about the belly aching that goes on around here.

You, my friend, are almost as bad.

Everyone who considers a black uniform without dismissing it out of hand does not have to dislike orange and white... but as was said earlier... this decision has nothing to do with progress and is merely aesthetic.

Why we're at it, lets just change the name of the team to the Mad Rabbits, cause the Vols is so traditional and out-dated. Mad Rabbits seems meaner!!! Or better yet, lets just tear down Neyland because its been around so long and its just so old and traditional. How about changing the U.S. flag cause its been around since 1776 and tradition is bad!!
