He slept walked through his QB possessions today. Threw 3 passes; one at someone's feet on a short slant, one batted down at the line, and the other a sideline pass where the receiver was hit as he caught the pass. We haven't scored enough points to have him just milk the clock during his sets. But that's literally all he did.

To me, our skill positions look pretty good, but the big uglies aren't too good. Saw Kongbo move into good position to make a stuff on their RB and then ducked away from the ball carrier coming right at him. Then I saw him chase the QB to a sideline and then he dived at his feet and somebody else had to make the tackle.

Today should be the end if that delusion. Our offensive issues are NOT at the feet of JG. That's is for sure.

We threw away 2 TDs, one on an illegal block on a Chandler run and another where the Cordova back laid the ball on the ground again. As much talent as he has, the guy has to be taught ball security is tantamount to all else especially in games to come.

What I couldn't understand is why we're giving reps to a QB that has no eligibility left after this season.

Furthermore, putting Chryst in random intervals is just mind-boggling. The coaches basically destroyed any offensive rhythm we had with JG.

I think the coaches just wanted to get him some reps against the last weak opponent. He would be the QB if anything happened to JG and the way he was running today head first gonna take a bad lick. Hopefully the coaches will have him sliding feet first after watching the film today.

The hate for JG is insane to me. Is he a Heisman candidate, no, but he is doing a good job controlling the offense, makes accurate throws, shows leadership on the sidelines, and is tough as hell. And today he showed some ability to make plays with his legs. He has made huge strides in the last year and all the complaints about him are a little absurd

Exactly. For all the yds we amassed on offense, we still haven't gotten in sync scoring points this year. Too many breakdowns at the wrong time. I understand they want to keep changing these OLinemen around to see what they can do at each position, but you would think they just cannot find what they are looking for among the guys available. Will they ever? This is frustrating. They look good at times on run plays and then look sick on other plays. No consistency yet.

There are 4 games that JT Shrout could be getting meaningful snaps and this was one, last week was the other. Chryst should not be getting any reps unless JG is on a stretcher and we are not playing 1 of those 4 games JT could be playing in. JT would get game reps and not burn his red shirt and Chryst would realize why he lost his job at Stanford again.

and nobody is saying Gitmo doesn't have things to work out. He needs to recognize defensive alignments and check out of some bad situations, but the coaches need to help him at that too. Helton or QB coach needs to show him on film what he can do when spots a mismatch up front and needs to adjust the blocking or change a call.

On one hand I understand folks frustrations with not scoring enough on UTEP but I ask was there anything that was enough? Because say we scored 70 on them then folks would say “it was a cupcake opponent we should have scored 100. Wait till we get to real SEC competition.” Either way I don’t fear the Florida game. Colorado is being way too competitive in this one.
