Tired of Comcast

I know the way Comcast works is instead of offering you the new package deals they have out, they will add on to your existing service.Tell them you want the complete new package deal whereby you can save money.

Comcast will work with you. But you have to go offer the promotional rate for around 6 months. I know this because I've done this alot. With modern cell phones, home phone lines are a waste of money. And personally, basic internet is all most consumers need. My cable and internet bill is $70/month.

Comcast has always angered me

when I got UVerse, the price change was welcomed, but I did notice that the picture and internet speed were both worse than Comcast.

However, it wasn't enough to make me want to go back to overpriced BS like Communistcast.

OP, speak to retention and tell them you're leaving if they can't lower the bill. If they call your bluff disconnect your service. Call the next day and order again. Since you're technically a new customer at that point your promotions will start over. Your phone numbers may be in limbo a couple of days but you'll get them back. And an anyroom dvr would be cheaper.

Have had Dish for three weeks now and the receiver went out last night. I'm supposed to get a new one in 2 to 5 days. And on the 3rd Saturday no less. If I could I would go back to Comcast.

I'm actually strongly considering Comcast over Direct TV. DTV gouges you on the Sunday Ticket and obviously the shortcomings of a dish over cable.

Had Comcast since they used to be Scripps Howard(very long time). Switched over two years ago to Uverse and we're very happy with it. I haven't noticed any problems with internet speed, seldom get glitches on DVR recordings. We have 8 anywhere DVR boxes(yes lots of tvs in the house) including the main DVR with the harddrive in it. My only complaint is that AT&T doesn't offer "local on the 8's" service through the Weather channel like you get with Comcast. They have a local radar feature that they offer but it's limited and the radar is crap. So if storms are rolling in and you're looking for the latest radar images you're basically going to have to log onto your laptop or cell phone and check weather.com. A year after we changed Comcast sends us letters begging us to come back. I can let you know the plan we've got and what the cost is. Have to check it later.
