Tip your hat to the Mizzou staff, last 4 recruiting classes

It helps when your opponents starting C, MLB, SS, and CB are out, plus your other starting CB, OG, and OT being banged up throughout the game.

Then it also helps when the refs call a confusing ass play at the end of the game that clearly benefits one team.

I'm not saying we will win next year versus UT but why do you think it will be the last win in awhile?

Because u basically beat a bunch of Freshmen and we got another Top 5 Recruiting Class coming in. We still have a lot of inexperienced Off-Lineman, and RB in place. With more experience and better playmakers like Kamara, McKenzie, Tuttle, Josh Smith, and various Redshirts UT will be a more solid Team

I have plenty of confidence he can get the players required. Not sold on the rest of the formula yet.

Can't argue with that, but the way he is stocking the pantry, I can't help but give him a chance to cook the dinner with a full slate of ingretients. That's just me, though.

But....but....but......it's ALL about recruiting and NOT on-field coaching, game management and coaching/practice development....??!!

This team plays 23 Freshmen...For them it's ALL about recruiting this year. This off season is going to make a world of difference.

OK but maybe you are putting to much stock in the TOP 5 recruiting class thing....but I get it that makes a lot of fans feel confident. I will say this the talent we have RS and coming in will be very competitive in the coming years.

I'm not very confident in Mizz's recruiting classes. However, ur Coaches are very impressive. The bottom line is we have AJ playing in this game, UT wins. He was the backbone of the Entire Team this year. There was an empty void on Offense and Defense with him gone. He was our leader.

Who is your DL coach. He does do a great job with your players.

None of your bees-wax...LEAVE KOOL ALONE!!

I've told many, I don't know why an NFL team or the richest programs don't show up on his doorstep, hand him a blank check & take him back home to have him coach D-linemen. He's phenomenal.

Good game--we've sure had to sweat at the end of these last two games for how comfy they were earlier.

You all can quit killing it on the recruiting trail anytime now. Geez--really? You all are stocking'em up. Good luck vs. Vandy--I only wish Franklin the Big-mouth Fraud was still there to take the beating.

UT needs improvement in other areas besides experience and depth.

This all freaking day...if we keep firing coaches, the better ones won't want to come here and we'll keep getting worse.
We just have to hope that the recruiting will continue to be strong and we can have some continuity in the staff.

I believe we are heading there. Just frustrating.

Oh and it would help if we don't have any more suspensions or possible arrests. That did not help.

CBJ et al have shown they can recruit. In my mind, they still need to show that they are better than average as coaches.

Our offensive line was absolutely owned tonight...but I don't understand why we don't throw more jump balls to North or Croom. North is unbelievably underutilized in this offense. Pig had a ton of drops and Malone caused the interception that turned the game. We are young and can only get better....but this offense was out-schemed tonight. Mizzou's defense did a great job of spying Dobbs and we throw laterally not vertically...we have the best wr corp in the sec but nobody is scared of our pass game.

Like I said, fair argument...But there's no sense in complaining to your wife that dinner needs more oregano when all you have is basil is all.

Wait til the next grocery trip, is all

The amazing thing is how many people wanted Pinkel fired after 2012. Many Mizzou fans and sportswriters were saying Pinkel couldn't compete in the SEC. So much for that. Pinkel has long been one of the most underrated coaches in college football.

Of course, the bad news for the NegaVols is that by their own standards, they would've wanted Pinkel fired after his first two seasons, as well (if they had been Mizzou fans). He went 4-7 and 5-7 during his first two years, and also went 5-6 during his 4th season. Pinkel didn't have a huge breakthrough till his 7th season at Mizzou.

I'm seeing a lot of over reacting idiots on here, we have injuries on a weak offensive line that's has paper thin depth and we played a top sack/game team in the SEC and you expected to win? Last I checked they are in first in the SEC east and we have two wins, against crappy teams. Just because we were favored in Vegas doesn't mean we should have won, it means that's the line they put out to get even money on both sides.

You have every right to question why any of our fans would cop such an attitude after beating us the last 3 years.

The truth is that this Vol fan won't believe we can beat Mizzou until the day comes when we actually do beat Mizzou. It seems we were busy beating you all week up until tonight when the game started.

It APPEARS that Missouri has the better coaching staff, while Tennessee has the better recruiting staff! We'll see for sure in the coming years.
