Tino Thomas?

im thinking that maybe the UT coaches have just not kept very much contact with him, leaving him feeling unwanted. maybe the family comments about his visit to usm are about their staff making him feel like more of a priority than UT's staff. could be UT's way of pushing him out the door without having to throw him out.

Some of the coaches are going to visit him this week to find out what is up.

At least our coaches are doing it early enough for the players to take other offers. I'm sure other schools have not been so kind.

Our coaches did not ask him to look elsewhere. If you look up a few posts you would see that, and that a couple coaches are going to see him to see what is up.

I highly doubt we got shunned by Tino on his own, especially considering how he was raving about UT just weeks ago.

I've been saying that Thomas would be one of the three most likely asked to look around. But the board, of course, completely flamed the idea. I'm not saying he is/was asked to do that, but there is simply no way an athlete picks USM over UT especially given UT's need at DB.

Coleman, Lanier, Randolph, Martin, Sapp (RS), Orta as a DB...I thought he was a WR in the first place.

except Hubbs was on it when they told Juda to look elsewhere and when they sent Powers packing.

so there goes that...

I can guarantee you that the coaches would never tell Hubbs if they told an athlete to look around. That is confidential information. It protects the player and the coaches

If the coaches told a player to look around Hubbs would know about it.

Tino Thomas who wouldnt have a big impact for a while or a more prolific player who could make an immediate impact? whats so wrong with that?

Hmmmm....

I'm glad that I do not do business with you.

There is that nasty little thing called integrity that seems to be missing in a lot of folks that post here and possibly at the top of our staff. I would hate for that to be the case as it kinda blows holes in the "Vol for Life" program.

feeling is mutual on the glad we don't do business together mlsoft, cause i don't think u would have the marbles to do what's best for the business. I didn't say let's just cut him loose with no regard for his future. He has offers from other solid teams and let's be honest his position is filling up quickly here so why don't we let him go somewhere where he can have a better chance at playing right away. He's still getting a FREE education regardless right?

What prolific player do you speak of that UT is making room for? Also, would it be smart by the coaches to send a kid packing less than 2 weeks before signing day from one of the most talent rich areas, if not the most, in the state?

"According to 247 who talked to Tino tonight, USM coaches have made it clear to him that they want him badly and he still considers himself a UT commitment, but they gave him something to think about.

however, coach Baggett called him tonight to see how the visit went and CCB and Coach Terry Joseph are going to Memphis tomorrow to have an in home with Tino to see what the deal is."

im not saying they are sending him off or not, maybe he is seeing he is getting passed up. coaches want this kid just as much as the fan base does

if the right player wants to commit. if someone like maggitt wanted in and there was no room, youre saying you wouldnt make room for him?
