Looking like SC will lose at least 6 games this year and maybe 8. Beamer probably won't be fired but his seat will be extremely hot. They will have a new QB next season and, barring a steal in the portal, they'll be near the bottom of the SEC. Who on their commitment list would be a viable target for the Vols?

When is it not? I know he looked a lot more secure a few months ago but what kind of fool believed he was the guy who was going to take USCe to unknown heights?

Spurrier couldn't do it there. That was their high water mark. I don't honestly think Beamer is better than Muschamp.... and Muschamp is an idiot.

Gonna be tough. Beamer makes commits FaceTime him when they are sleeping so he knows they aren't talking to other teams.

Spurrier couldn't recruit due to his toxic personality. He had one top-10 recruiting class at SC (6th, in his third year, bracketed between #32 class in year 2 and #34 class in year 4) and averaged about 20th in his tenure there. I saw Bob Stoops in the airport in Orlando when he was DC for Spurrier at UF. He said they would have a recruit locked up and then Spurrier would visit the kid and then they would then have to try to convince the kid not to de-commit. Beamer is a better recruiter than Spurrier, but not near the coach. SC can only hope he will somehow improve.

If one of his commits is talking to the Vols in his sleep about how much better it could be for them, will Beamer break his other foot kicking that USCjr recruit?
Recruits and transfers know the Vols are rising and the Cocks are, well, the same ole cocks.

I don't think he will last that long. We've seen repeatedly that the SEC is no place to learn on the job.

The kind that breaks his foot kicking something in the sideline…

Spurrier took SC to about as high as they will ever get in the SEC.

4* Kam Pringle was a target for Vols..OT we wanted...
We've got a nice haul from the HS ranks, but I'm at the point of wanting to raid college rosters. We need cats that are physically and mentally ready to play next season. Hoping Heupel will take a page from Tony V and go after guys that have played well against us that fit what we're wanting to do.

All the good ones, especially linemen.

Or lose out. Maybe they will transfer to the PAC 10 or is it the PAC 2.

CLH and CSS were the best football coaches that South Carolina ever had.

The prevailing thought going into the season from SC fans I know was that Beamer is "Dabo-light". Beamer's issue is sustaining. He's been recruiting well enough but their overachieving from LY isn't there, so the potential for things to start coming off the rails is there, esp moving into next year where they'll probably need to go into the portal again for a QB b/c don't think they have a high caliber QB on roster? QB is the equalizer in CFB. Ratler saved their season last year when they finally decided to cut him loose starting with Vols game. If we didn't have Hooker the past two years, and Milton was our QB, JH may have had some of the same issues as Beamer at this point.
