Time to fess up.. who missed the end of the game?

A SC fan got up to leave from section 19, shaking my hand and wishing me safe travels back to TN with about 3 mins left in the game. I looked at him in disbelief and asked him a simple question.

"You have seen your defense right.....why are you leaving"?

He responded by saying,

"Yes, that's why I am leaving. I'd rather beat traffic than watch another 4 quarter collapse."

It was at that point I knew we were going to win.

almost turned it off but swiped an orange Tootsie Pop from my sons tick or treat bag and continued on, I honestly think it is what gave the team the spark...Mandatory orange tootsie pops in all rally situations now!!!GBO

I have to admit, being in Section 907 Row 29 we just couldn't take the wind anymore.

Had to leave at half time and went to Jillians where we endured the c0ck noises until that glorious moment when the c0ck got muted.

Was a great time, even though I still cannot feel my face :)

I admit, the thought crossed my mind to turn off the TV last night when we went down 14 late in the fourth quarter. Losing hurts. Luckily, I watched until the sweet end.

I also admit that I was picking up my things to leave the 1998 Arkansas game with a couple of minutes left, but my son would not let me.

Just wondering if anyone will admit to turning off the game before the miraculous comeback. I am sure some did.

I've never turned a Tennessee game off in my life. You have?

I was ready to turn it off and go to bed two different times but my 11 year old son told me I "had to keep the faith.".........I've done something right with that kid.

To be 100% honest

I remember 2 things Saturday night:

1) Late night Burger King drivethru - wife was DD and getting me some late night food.

2) Looking at score with 4-5 minutes left and thinking there was no way our offense could score 3 TDs.*

* Drunk Math

I don't remember how I got into bed, but I woke up there to a phone full of celebration texts the next morning.

I wanted to go to bed when they were down 14, but I stayed in there, I gave my all for UT Saturday night

What happens when you get the tick?

Gat called into work. Listened on the radio as much as I could. Had to start shutting everything down just as Dobbs through int. Spent the rest of the time bit Whing every ones heads off trying to hurry up and get out. Got to my truck just in time to hear Medley's extra point. Missed the best 5 minutes of the year. Sped all the way home to watch OT, got in the door just in time to see Medley's FG. Did not even speak to wife. Got to see defense rise up and the celebration. All was well. Owe everyone at work and apology, but they will understand. I hope!

I sure as hell didn't miss it. I don't wait all week long to watch the Big Orange only to turn the TV off when things look bleak.

I am optimistic as hell usually, but even I saw no way we could come back and win that game. But I damn sure kept watching.

So glad I did. I scared the absolute **** out of my 15 month old son and nearly put my head through the ceiling I jumped out of my chair so high.

came close, walked out side a couple of times and smoked. Then went back in. I woke up my 5 yr. old grand daughter and she came in and sat on my lap and watched it with me to the end. what a great game. As much as it pains me to watch sometimes I'm always there till the end.

I was on vacation and the house we stayed at had direct tv but NOT the SEC network. Im in NC so I got the radio feed on utsports site. After wife went to bed I sat in the dark drinking warm Dr ambui and listened on a wing and a prayer. When Barnett made 2nd sack in OT I yelled so loud it woke wifey up. Best part though was the next morning. Spurrier 54 second presser.

Bowl game here we come!

I neve turn off a game. Remember in 91 with the Miracle at South Bend game I watched until I had to drive to pick up my date. In the car can still remember John ward saying, "the kick is good....NO ITS NO GOOD NO GOOD. picked up my date, went to the movies and people at the mall in tenessee orange. I walked up and said "How about that game?" They said "terrible, stopped watching after the first half" I then informed them they missed the most amazing come back of all time.

Because of this I always watch til the end. Although in my case I caught the last 5 minutes through the eyes of John Ward.

After all we have been thru the past 8+ years it would have been easy to call it quits but the inner Vol in me will never give up!!!! I think I woke up the entire neighborhood.

When they ran that long TD with about 4 or 5 min, I thought about it for sec. Then I thought what the heck if my boys are fighting I can stay up and watch. Plus I was enjoying watching Dobbs, but painful on D. Was so happy I did. I would of felt horrible if I had given up and they didn't!!! Can not blame anyone that did though, as I didn't have much hope with what we had been though. I hope this is turning point to get what ever the heck spell we have been under. Last year's win I thought SC played bad and ole Ball Coach went brain dead. This year we took it and can build on it!!! Much different win IMO!!

I watched every minute but 2 of my friends who normally text me during games went to bed after we went down by 14.
