Being frustrated is part of the fun. You cant really appreciate the good times unless you are thete for the bad ones. Turning the game off is a cop-out. Im glad our players and coaches dont just quit or give up when they get frustrated.

I've done it every way it can be done. I've ate and slept this stuff for 30 years. There is no cop-out as you'd call it because neither you nor I has control over anything in any game. That said I have watched players quit and give up. When you've watched for 30 years you see it all. I'm happy they didn't last night. Celebrating some fake ass fandom award is one thing I can't help anyone with though.

I might have turned it off but my GF is an SC alum that still lives there, and we had a bet on the game. I'm not going to tell you what the
bet was but I'm very very happy we won. LOL

Had to work Sunday (3:45am alarm) but I hung in there swearing and screaming. My college roomate and I were texting about the game and he threw in the towel when Wilds scored. When we were about to tie I tried texting and then calling but got voicemail. He got my message at 5:00 am and almost killed himself trying to get to his DVR, lol. Had a delayed Happy Dance.

Stayed in my seat until the end, then I celebrated and high five anyone wearing orange inside Williams Brice stadium.

Very magical first away game for me.

I was a little kid in 98 when the Ark. QB placed that ball on the ground and ill never forget yelling in my room. That was before there were 20 games on at one time so watching the end was the only choice. However, I will always watch my VOLS play. I DVR the Auburn/OlePiss game I can watch it later, but i never give up on the VOLS. Hell, I watched the whole Ole Miss game, the whole Bama game, im damn sure not gonna turn off the competitive game. Last year's SC game should have taught TN fans that!

I have no idea what kept me in front of the TV...or kept me recording that sham...When inevitably settles in I generally stop the DVR and scowl my way to the final seconds...I didn't have any revelation that this was going to be different than Ole Miss or Bama...just stubborn Vol pride.

Watched it all. When the ju-ju goes bad, I switch rooms, and I always take my flags off my car before the game. If I forget I gotta stop and take them down. I started that a few years ago vs Uga, we were getting killed at the half so I took them down. I thought it might change some things. 2nd half we smoked their chicken and blocked a punt. My family thinks I'm crazy.

I turned it off after the interception but couldn't help but keep updated on my phone. Figured as soon as I turned it off they started the comeback so didn't wanna be the reason they came up short so I didn't turn it back on to watch.

I came real close. after the 70 yard td run I lost faith in them. I went outside to curse at the cold air. I came back in and asked my 11 year old son if he wanted to keep watching or turn it off. He looked at me, put on his UT beanie and said I still have faith in them dad. I said ok keep that faith and we might win. Ill never forget our celebration after the win. And the lesson he taught me.

Ok. I admit it. I turned it off but kept up with it on the ESPN app. When I saw them pull within one I turned it back on but I'm too superstitious so I turned it off so that I didn't jinx them. LOL.

I played solitare during the commercials. When they started making a comeback I would not resume the paused solitare game because I didn't want to change the luck.

I always run the scenarios that make us win. What needs to happen here, etc. I said if we can score and get it to a kick, we could onside. When we didn't get it back, I was going thank goodness for all those timeouts. It tested my limits in faith. It was such a huge uphill battle, I'm still numb to the fact that this team pulled it off. That is so big going into the bye. In fact, I believe if we did not win, we might have seen some cracks inhis teams resolve. Now I bet they smash thru the rest of the season and go to a bowl that was better than expected.

I did not turn the TV off, but at 14 down, I was half paying attention. From that point on, even as the Vols were coming back, I figured Spurrier would dial something up for Wilds or Cooper and put it out of reach. I really didn't feel any hope until Thompson threw that third down pass out of bounds in OT. But when that field goal attempt fell like a shot duck, I just sat and watched in disbelief as the celebration broke out.

What I had just seen did not really sink in, until Butch Jones was interviewed, and I heard him say, "Vol Nation needed this win." I have to agree.

When Cooper took it to the house in the 4th, I funneled a few too many beers.

Woke up this morning and we had won.

New superstition, I think YES

Watched it all. Never got that feeling that it was over until after the second sack in overtime. I just knew that the next play by SC was going to be a TD. So glad I was wrong.

My 10yr wedding anniversary was this weekend and my wife and I where watching the game in our hotel room, turnedthe t.v.off when we didn't get the onside kick. As we where walking out we passed the hotel bar and I looked at the tv and sc was about to punt. So I missed 3 plays from room to lobby. Stayed at the hotel bar and watched the rest of the game! So glad I turned to see the score before leaving. Go Vols!

I almost fell asleep at the start of the 4th quarter.... got up and stood for a bit and got back into it.

Funny about the 98 game, I was walking out at the same time you did, I could not stand to see the clock tick down to zero and lose so I eased out.. got into the tunnel and heard the Roar..... ran back to my seat.....

Go Vols!:clapping:

A lot of people did. My son was 6 at the time, and said, Dad sit down, it's not over. Glad I had a voice of reason with me.

After the long run I changed the channel for a minute, then thought that maybe I could see a few long passes, so I flipped it back. Then after the onside I thought it was over, but it wasn't and I was happy all night!
