Time to eat my crow.

Makes you wonder how much of a cancer he really was

I don't know if Warren getting kicked of the team had a whole lot to do with us winning. But it could have with Kiffin and his "five percent of players" talk last week. Warren might have been goofing around in practice keeping the other WRs from practicing 100%

I'm not fighting, I'm just voicing my opinion. We had not seen anything this year this to indicate that we would blow UGA out today.

We've all been hard on Crompton and while he played an excellent game, I am not ready to put my eggs in his basket just yet. I'll get back to you after the Alabama game.

You're going to get back to us after the Vols play the best team in the country. C'mon now.

I would like to say congrats to all the crow eaters for coming forth and admitting they were wrong about this game. There are still alot out there who not confessed and probably never will. I am not a JC supporter, nor am I in Stephens camp, I am in the camp of giving this staff freedom to make the right calls on who plays. This is their first year with an all new staff, not alot of depth and talent to choose from at most positions.

Win or lose lets just enjoy the season and enjoy how hard our team plays, to me alone that is a nice change of pace. To many times over the past 8 yrs you could see either the offense or defense just give up in a game.

After the last 5 or 6 years, we have the right to be dissappointed. When we are one of the top schools in the country and the program is competing on the level of a mediocre program, you tend to get a little pissy. CLK has been incredibly patient with "the stash" Crompton. He must know something we don't. All I know is that I will be a much more enthusiastic when we get a QB recruit that inspires fans with confident play and good decisions. These guys needed this win...BAD. For all of you who think we are complaining or downing the team, shut up. We want more for the boys and the school. Kiffin, IMO, is going to be the guy for a while. We just suck right now!!!!

Well if you had any football knowledge you would know that the talent level on this team is not where it should be. We have had 3 players drafted the last 2 yrs compared to KY having 4 last yr alone. If you don't think that is a direct reflection of the drop in talent on the team overall you are misguided. I also assure you no one wants to see this team and the boys do well more then me or most Vol fans, the problem stems from hard headed people like you that will not acknowledge we currently don't have the depth and talent to be that winning team just yet. It will take several recruiting classes to get half way back.

I personally think Florida is the best team in the country but yes. As good as Bama is, if Crompton comes and throws 3 interceptions that's not acceptable. One good game against a bad defense is great and all but following 5 touchdowns against Western Kentucky, he three three interceptions against UCLA. Like I said... I am not going to put my eggs in Crompton's basket just yet. I tried that after the Western Kentucky game and his play against UCLA made me want to throw up.

you are an idiot...that's what I just said...we suck, and Lane is working hard to get us there...It's hard to see these guys be unsuccessful....I'm not hard headed, I am optomistic for the future of this coach and the team....Jesus, can you understand the letters you read?:crazy::crazy:

two - count them two - coaching staffs have said Crompton is the better one. USC recruited him, Georgia recruited him. He was the #2 quarterback in the nation when he was up a high school senior. We have had 5? offensive coordinators since he came??? Just a little patience and TLC can make the right moves... I would have loved to have seen Hyams face as the day wore on. "Listen to the fans and give Stephens a chance..." That is why I (and many others) are sitting in the stands or watching TV and not getting the big bucks to coach the team. IT'S TIME...:)

I am going to eat my crow because I have been waiting for crompton to be benched after the UCLA game, but after this game he has gained most, however NOT ALL my respect. I hope he continues playing like this for the rest of the year. GO VOLS!!!!!:pepper:

Dude...layoff with the personal insults (well...it's OK in my book to insult Griff....he's a closet Bamer, IMO). This isn't a Bamer board.
Otherwise, there's no sense in trashing our own fans just cause they may have a different opinion in a matter than you do.
Let's clean it up to keep this from becoming a juvenile playground.

The parts in bold does not show any support for the team and coaching staff. The idiot part is real cute, how old are you 12? A true fan shows class when winning or losing.

Is anyone else concerened that Crompton only seemed to be successful when he was outside of the pocket. Don't get me wrong, I thought he played great and I'm glad the coaching staff has figured out his strengths. But from inside the pocket he didn't look spectacular, and Saban and Co will definately be trying to keep him from being mobile.
