I was calling for Stephens all week long. I was really tired of seeing Crompton start.

I can now(happily, mind you), eat my crow and admit I was wrong. Has to be the best crow I've ever eat though. I really hope Crompton carries this play to the Bama game and throughout the rest of the season.

I won't start praising him as god just yet, but he's earned a lot of my respect back. Just not all of it.

He has endured all the negative comments and gone through the hard times, He HAS earned my respect.... without today's results and my excitement for Him with it

I will eat crow with you. I was riding the NS horse and was wrong. I'm just going to support the team and the QB like I should have. I'm glad Crompton got to make me eat my words, kudos for him. I hope he can keep it up. He showed great character for not listening to stupid heads like me. Its all about the team, the way I should have been in the first place. GOOOOOOOOOOO VOLS:rock:

We've all been hard on Crompton and while he played an excellent game, I am not ready to put my eggs in his basket just yet. I'll get back to you after the Alabama game.

Don't forget to swallow. Jerk. Why don't you just admit you no nothing compared to our coaches. Wine, Wine, Wine.

I have never been one to call for NS to be put in to replace JC, nor have I been a huge JC fan. I have just trusted the coaches to use the best players to get the win. I did enjoy seeing JC and the offense do well today. We will see if they can stay consistent in the coming weeks. I, for one, hope they do.

Same here.

It's gonna be much harder to beat Alabama.

But boy if we can play like we did today(outside of special teams), we can beat anyone in the country.

One bad game away to be back to his self. Please forgive me for the miss speling.

I'd just like to say thank you for admitting that you MAY have made a mistake. He could be awful again next week, but it takes lot to admit when you're wrong and eat that crow, so my hat is off to you guys. Now if I could just get some of you to come teach that to some of my sixth grade students... :)

I don't see the need to eat Crow at all. When your team struggles, you want to fix whatever is holding it up. His play up to this point gave no one reason to be optimistic.

I'm glad to see him break out of the shell. I'm thinking he just cramps up, mentally, in big games, and CLK felt like it was a gamble worth taking if they could overcome that issue and get him to play like he does in practice. If they can keep him improving, then the staff may have just worked some magic.

Let's keep it in perspective, though. CLK was able to call plays that kept Crompton out of the pocket....his play-calling kept pressure out of his face. That still doesn't mean he's able to stand poised in the pocket and deliver precision passes...but it's progress and that's more than what had.

Have we confirmed that was really Crompton and not some type of Mission Impossible impostor?

i have not posted much but have been a member for a year. when your house is destroyed you cant repair the roof then get pissed off because the windows are broken. my point is many volfans on here have zero patience. clkiffin was hired for a reason. kiffin trusts JC, i trust kiffin. and anyone who can perform after having 4 weeks of absolute venom being thrown at them has my respect. good game jc!
