I haven't been on VolNation this much in one day ... probably since the Gruden threads (good times man, good times).
Where did the feature go that showed how many people were logged on at any given time?
Also, what's the record for how many have been logged on at the same time before the site crashed?
Thanks, and I'll hang up and listen.

Kiffin, Gruden, and Shiano were the most memorable. Kiffin and SchiaNO was all at once. The Gruden threads had three shifts working it, plane tracking experts, and a lot of "inside knowledge". He would never admit it, but I've always wondered if Gruden ever read any of that. If he did, I'm sure he would have worn an orange tie on MNF. That alone would have collapsed the server.

If you asked me, I'd have said the Currie/schiano spectacles drew the highest volume. Only time I've seen normal threads move as fast as a live game thread.
Only time I got slapped with a board warning for way I described Schiano ..Whoops

Currie almost hiring Schiano crashed the servers.

That would have been the end of Tennessee football if he signed on that dotted line.

Semi related, Leach and Matt Campbell were my two favorites. Who knows where we would be now but I think each of them would have done well here. With that said I could not be happier with the direction we're headed.

OP, you should have been here in the old days. It was a lot more easy-going and forgiving back then. Some nights it would just be me and maybe two or three regulars and all we did was act like fools and laugh and poke fun at Freak. GaVol would even do Kenny Rogers impersonations. I'm glad VN is as successful as it is, but I wish everyone could have experienced those early years.

I remember someone posted " they are burning down the campus " I clicked the post and saw a mattress on fire in the middle of the street.... I thought " whoever posted this should be prosecuted for misleading info " or something...

It was A mattress... not ANYTHING close to burning down the campus.

I took a screenshot the day we had over 16,000 members online. I'm not sure what the record is but that was the most I had ever seen on VN. It was during the Schiano fiasco. All the twists and turns of Tennessee’s legendary coach search

This was probably the day that Freak realized he was going to have to open that pocket book to pump more resources into the Volnation empire he had built.
