Tom Ridge has an image problem with people who don't follow politics too much, which is most. The creator of the color coded terror list that no one fully understands and got way to much milage when it came out.

I wonder how PA would go with Biden and Ridge. If Ridge was on the ticket. Isn't Ridge Pro-Choice, that might be a problem with social conservatives also. I could be wrong about Ridge on abortion, thought I heard that.

I honestly think it'll be a mistake if McCain picks a white male. I know it's about who is ready to be President, but nothing will say "establishment mentality" more than picking a white guy. I like Romney a lot and think he'd make a great Sec. of the Treasury or of Labor, and I would vote for a McCain/Romney ticket. I just think that if the GOP is going to be taken seriously by independents prepared to fall for the left's assertions that the party is monolithic, McCain needs (and I hate to say it this way) to explore "diversity" with his VP choice.

I would absolutely pick them over Obama / Biden but we'd have to have some sort of coup in the event that something happened to McCain, who's no spring chicken.
