I don't think Hamilton really pursued Kelly that hard. Hamilton stressed he was looking for the young energetic type when Kiffin was hired. Then he stressed southern gentleman type when Dooley was hired. I guess coaching record was irrelevant.

With our current squad I doubt Dooley would be 5-0 with ND's schedule.

UT has more cupcakes than ND (ND has no Troy, Ga State, Akron, etc) has but UT has an edge in upper tier competition.

your probably right .. ND has a defense and we dont. however their offense isnt as good as ours.. dooley would not likely be 5-0 but probably have more wins than he does now. there is no way to tell for certain but if I had to guess I would say that ND wouldnt be undefeated if it had UTs schedule.
