If I'm Faison-I might be looking somewhere else. If they will not pay Nico competitively (with Lagway and Sellers,Beck), why are they going to pay me?

I don’t see UGA , Ohio St, or others going thru this storm. GA let their qb hit the portal as he wasn’t going to start this season. You wouldn’t know we were a playoff team last season as our focus is always on BS.

Fyi- Nico isn’t coming back. Matthews is a concern, too.

Not sure if reported but his teammates are livid that he missed practice. He didn’t call, text … nothing! It’s sad as most of the team was focusing on class and tomorrow. Now it’s all about Nico and they have to answer questions from their friends on campus and media.

They paid Nico twice, at some point the constant me me me becomes a distraction to the team. UT did not cause this situation, it's all on Nico. You'll get paid at UT, but with that comes some responsibility to the team and the university.

Like I said earlier, kids aren't stupid when it comes to value, and we aren't going .500 because we don't have a guy that- it turns out- wasn't a big difference-maker last year.

The other thing that shows what a douche the family is, is that they went off on the reporter and called him a liar. Then made a statement that all is well.

Caron Beck basically did the exact same thing at UGA. UGA wanted him back. This is everywhere and the new reality until contracts are enforced or some other oversight is created.

UGAs QB was a lot better than Nico and they just said next man up, I admire their fanbase for believing in all their players. A bunch on here are like Nico was the whole program. Dylan Sampson was the main cog on O last year Nico was a game manager especially in SEC games we had goose eggs in what 5 first halves. I really didn't see any dynamic from him. Just threw for 108 yards vs Ohio State he's lucky he's still a starter. Hypes best QB here was recruited as a transfer from VT by Pruitt. I really think putting all this money in 5-star HS QBs and developing them and giving them 2 million for a RS year is a bad model. Go back to the accidental transfer Hendon Hooker mode bring a veteran or 2 in the Spring and let the chips fall where they may.

Nico was not better than Sellers last year. Sellers is also the lone star on a defunct team. SCAR's odds of making any reasonable post season push are about the same as you winning the mega millions. They are willing to put as much as they can into his pocket because who else does a team like SCAR have? Nobody

We are paying above market for other talent. Mathews, Boo Carter, McCoy, and Gibson all got pay raises. Also, our DL is very well compensated. Maybe Nico didn't earn a bonus or higher rate?

Lagway, admittedly, I cannot comment on. However, recent comments from Napier indicate he is hurt bad. Florida is also being sued by Rashada for NIL issues, and they had no problem getting Lagway.

The sky is not falling. Donate your Nico crap to Goodwill and move on.
