CBJ is 4-4 in the SEC in year 4. No matter if he does return, he cannot be the HC on The Hill long term. Better for him and all involved if he somehow finds another job elsewhere on the coaching carousel on his own.

It is a sad day....
Player development in depth is not there.
Vandy made second half adjustments, and our WHOLE coaching staff laid an egg.
No excuse for losing to a 6 loss Vandy team period...........

At least now Butch cant say that he has improved every year. This team is much worse than last years team.

I have been on the Butch train since he led us to the bowl game in 2014. He needed help to win the division with Cincy. He has recruited 4 and 5 stars for 2 - 3 years, and could not make the SEC title after beating Florida and Georgia. It is time for him to move on and Tennessee needs to fork over the money to bring in a capable coach who can turn this program for the good.

Is it lack of player development or we can only sign kids with less than SEC level talent? Either way, put your proverbial money where your mouth is and tell us who you would hire that would take the job for less than the worth of the University.

Give the kids what they want, fahr Butch and go get a basement bargain 3 mil a year nobody.

He lied about getting the best staff in america and babbles endless cliches. He has lost to vanderbilt twice which is inexcusable. Bobble head bob kessling keeps saying we were undisciplined. I went to appy state when we did not have all the injuries and we played like crap

Better coaches are available. Les Miles and Charlie Strong would run circles around Butch Jones. He needs to go coach a Pee Wee team somewhere in Michigan. UT deserves a coach who can prepare our talent to play in the SEC. Butch Jones is an embarrassment to the University of Tennessee.

I am with you! But if we don't fire Butch the OC and DC needs to be gone along with several other coaches! Otherwise get out Butch!

Why people want to go after somebody that is a HC is not realistic. If one looks, some of the greatest coaches were hired while they were Assistant Coaches. Osborn, Switzer, Bryant, Cutcliff, Wilkinson, McKay, etc etc. Get a young up and coming asst coach that has it, and hungry for more. I know people will say "hell, its Tennessee, we deserve better and can get better." I'm sure TN can, but for now these last 3 hires by the Admin at TN have kinda taken the program back, to be honest. If this isn't true, then why is TN stuck with Jones???

I want Les Miles, and get the band back together and hire Chavis and Cutcliffe as the coordinators
