This is relief from a 45 yr VOL fan! My 1st game was in Neyland in 1972!

I know the past 20 days have been a freaking disaster. We have taken some serious blows as a program and fanbase. My dad always told me growing up that what doesn't kill you will make you stronger.

Today we took a huge step forward by finally putting the man I felt should have moved into the AD position in 2009. This would have eliminated the past 9 years of the worst era of UT football IMHO.
It's time today to stop dwelling on the past and now look to the future of our rebuilding process. To bringing those home that should be here. To those that have previously given their heart and soul to the University of Tennessee and know what it means to leave it on the field for Vol Nation and respect what is on the front of the jersey!

Today we stopped the $h!t show that has been embarrassing to UT. Phil will make us relevant again! I'm extremely excited now about the coming weeks and years. The spell is broken!

Go Vols and God Bless America!

We need to be grateful for today's events and hope that Haslam has been put in his place... Once and for all.

Rest assured, a control freak like Haslam isn't just going to give up. He will try to wrest control back over this program.

Haslam is still in control of things.

Fulmer is basically like another slave having to listen to his boss.

It isn't desperation it's taking action. Bad...no... HORRIBLE actions have been taken since Butch was fired but I applaud the effort to make things right....but the jury is out until we see what he does to fix it.

Last 20 years include two SEC titles and one NC, and many other good seasons and wins.

I think you mean 10 years.

Don't overthink it, look what just happened to Miami, Mark Richt has take Miami from the bottom to the top in just his 3rd year, it can be done with the right coach. Pick the wrong guy and it will not happen in 50 years.

Richt was a quarterback at Miami. He has returned to his home and taken them to 10-1.

Sounds like a story line for Tee Martin returns home to Tennessee.

Some people just are built with a negative slant on everything and you really can't do much to help them see the light, and that is ok.

What we do know is that without a positive attitude you really can't accomplish much in football or anything else in life.

Be thankful if you are one of the many that see the glass half full when others will see it as half empty.

To answer your question as far as Fulmer my perspective. Yelled go Vols at 8. That was 41 years ago. Read about them in the paper but listened on the radio. Wasnt always on tv like today. Fulmer gets it! He grew up rooting for a team. Dreamed of playing on that team. Played on that team. Became an assistant on that team then the coach of that team. Had some tremendous success. Had some down seasons. We yanked the keys away from him. Broke his and I assure you a lot of fans hearts. Lets give the keys to the shiny bobble. We will live in the perpetual greatness we deserve. He should have flipped us all off and left. But he stayed. He has watched the wheels come off his beloved team. He has watched us become a bottom dwellar for the most part. AND AFTER THE WORST SEASON IN VOL HISTORY! He could watch no more.Dont know what is going to happen. But the one thing I'm sure of. He not only knows where Neyland is. He not only knows what a VOL is. He is TENNESSEE. Hope this helps.
