I assume that's exactly what it means. Hate it for a kid that's committed to us for that long, but that's the way recruiting works.

I don't blame him seems shady but this happens on both ends of the recruiting business. Unfortunately our coaches get paid very well to produce the best team and wins, if a different young man gets them closer to doing so their hand is forced imo. I wish we wouldnt take a commitment if it is not one to keep and vice versa with recruits.

Agreed... A "commitment" is largely an invention of recruiting services and doesn't really mean what the word actually means.
