Tim banks needs to go his defense can’t get it done in big games like Georgia and Ohio State hell even against Arkansas last year we got shredded. What good DC’s is out there than we can get. Thanks i will hang up and listen. We need bigger defensive linemen too some run stoppers like we had with Jarred Mayo and AL Hanyesworth and John Henderson. Our linebackers are undersized.

This is completely ridiculous. Given we were down 2 starting corners, had a freshman starting in one of those spots, also down 2 interior D-linemen (Moi & Hobbs), they l did a really good job. Are there things to clean up, sure but it is not so extreme as to say he can’t get it done.

So does this mean UGA doesn’t have a good D, We scored the same amount they did until the OT and apart from the OT we had the same amount of yardage.
UT lost. At home. When you lose a game like this, it matters not what you scored, only that you didn't score enough, or that you gave up too many points.

38 points should have won the game. It didn't. If you want to compare defenses, then compare UT to Austin Peay, which gave up 28. In Athens.

Vols got embarrassed in Columbus last year, and in Knoxville last night. It is what it is. And yes, Banks is one reason why.

This isn't the first game where his defense got exposed...and it won't be the last. Defense wins championships.

This team...with this defense...isn't winning anything that ends in "championship". Damn shame, because the offense is there.

Again, it is what it is.

We’re down something like 5 starters on defense and our linebackers struggle. Not sure what he’s supposed to call? We need better players on defense not a new coach.

So UGA ain't winning either. Their defense was exposed as well. If not for the missed kick....there were other opportunities too, but the missed kick.

I believe tough teams win the tough games in tough situations.

Like UGA did.
Yea they are likely the best team in the country with the most talent (or on par with Ohio St at least)

They won because they made plays against a team down 5 starters, (4 on defense)...if we had McCoy on 4th and 6 we likely win.

We also missed a FG that would've won it.

We were tough too during that game.

Relax and breathe, we still have a great shot at the playoffs, even if we lose one more

Whatever makes y’all feel better about the loss. UGA found a way to win…or UT found a way to lose. No point in sitting here and swapping viewpoints. Offense was on point. Defense lost this game.

And it won’t be the last one. This team…with this defense…loses 3 more.

Bring me that plate of crow when UT finishes 10-2. I’ll gladly eat it.

This game just shows once again that we do not have a good
linebacker room. Same story, different verse. We will not be a
top tier team until that improves. Secondary was decent, especially
considering our injuries but the main culprit was lb.

Our LBs killed us at times....well...one in particular.

Hot sauce with the crow, please. I'll be here waiting.

My sunshine pump hasn't worked in years.
Why don’t you try first looking at life without applying a binary status to everything that happens.

Yes, we lost and it freaking sucks, but there are positives here. We have a great offense. We are very injured on defense and I believe that determined the game.

I saw a team that didn’t back down last night. They just came up short. Acting like we suck for losing to a great team is honestly ridiculous.

Never said UT sucked. In fact, I said the offense is there.

I also said the defense is not. Excuses (injuries) are the refuge of the weak-minded.

We disagree on how / why UT lost this game. I'd love to be wrong, on both how UT lost and what this means moving forward.

But I'm not. Again, I'll be here for my plate of crow at season's end.

You don’t think having our 2 starting corners may have affected the outcome? One of which being a consensus day 1 pick? Lol ok buddy

I was Def thinking this at the beginning on the 3rd quarter, but i feel like we made adjustments to stop the run. The td on the 4th and 6 was the result of a well placed throw and wr move. I thought it was a little too late but I have to give the d credit for the 4th quarter

We have talent in that LB room, it's just young. Right now we're cycling through BJM's recruits (and outside of Spillman those guys are mid IMO)
