Our DB’s are young. That showed on D. I still can’t figure out the offense. I can’t figure out why it goes hot and then cold so many times throughout a game. That showed on O.
Yeah they are crazy athletic and have ideal builds for what we want to do. But why is Banks putting our freshman corner on an island on 4th down to pretty much seal the game.

Backup CBs and interior DL playing against a bunch of 5*s.

Lots of stops keeps us in the game

4th and 6 was just a play

Georgia is more star studded and nothing can change that

Good game we will get better from. Game could’ve and should’ve been won. Disappointed it wasn’t.

But big picture, I didn’t expect us to be close.

Georgia is a bunch of NOBODIES on offense bruh. They have one legit dude, branch. That’s it lol

Winnable games should be won in the SEC not lost, hopefully Heupel realizes you have to close the door at the first available opportunity, the 2025 defense is as deplorable as the 2022 version and we are not going to post 45 points every game, such that to be in contention for a playoff spot, the defense will have to perform at a much, much higher level

Georgia is a good team. No doubt.

Multiple individuals contributed to this team loss. Bad false start penalty got in the kicker’s head. Missed kick. Completely forgot how to play offense on first possession in OT. Forgot how to play defense at end of OT.

Overall, we saw that Aguilar can ball-out in a big game (at home). We also saw that our WRs can be big time. O-Line also came to play today.

Not all bad news. Still infuriating though.

I dislike Georgia more than any other opponent.

We had a shot today and it came down to a couple of plays, the guys played hard. Were back to being relevant and out of the basement. Shoulda just kicked the FG before we got flagged ! Kicker got iced

Tim Banks was down key players against a team who has had top 5 recruiting classes the last 5-10 years.

You didn’t expect us to be close? Really? I didn’t expect a win, but I expected a competitive game. It’s the way we lost that pisses me off. We had this one. It was in our hands. And we played conservative
I watched us against Syracuse. Sloppy

ETSU is a HS game

We were way more disciplined than I expected and the offense was much better than I expected against Georgia.

I did not expect the success we had. Joey lets his guys go for 50/50 balls. That’s very counter to what this offense has been since Golesh

Amazing game by the offense. Joey and the WRs balled out. The run game was solid. 38 points should be enough points to win by 3-4 scores against a pretty mediocre offense. Tim Banks flexes against lesser opponents but in big games he has no idea what he is doing. I don’t know the solution because his body of works says he’s a solid DC. But holy **** I’m sick of his defense looking abysmal against UGA. Mike Bobo isn’t exactly an offensive genius and yet Banks gets schooled every time. It’s beyond stupid. Something has to change. That should of been a beatdown in favor of the Vols. Period.
They aint but thing stupid here…and it aint Banks!

We are short 2 starting corners and 2 starting dt. We got pushed around on dline most of day

How high are you? Stop it get some help you’re making a fool of yourself

Name an offensive player you’d rather have from their offense than our offense. Branch over one of our WRs and even that’s a maybe.

I've been a Tim Banks supporter his whole time here and im still giving him a little bit of a pass this year realizing he has to play guys at corner and safety who this time last year were playing in high school in front of crowds that could barely fill one section in Neyland.

Where I am blaming in today's game is two spots.
One is the 2 point conversion...it's like our defense had never practiced or lined up to defend a conversion.
The second is the OT...Georgia telegraphed sweep run and you set your play up to follow the misdirection.
The same play Syracuse used against us.

I could not understand why Heupel did not call a meeting timeout before the 2 point conversion to discuss it with the defense. I was screaming at the TV.

It would take a good bit of time to compile, but I’d love to know how many 4th down conversions allowed during each DC’s tenure here. We’ve given up so many first down or scores on 4th downs over the last 4 years that it just feels like we’re in record territory
