Anyone have experience ordering natural stone tile online? We are looking at some travertine and slate, and the online prices are great (when compared to local retailers). I have samples and quotes from 360flooring.com and BuildDirect.com. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Louisville Tile in Nashville, TN - is great! Check them out!

FYI for hardwoor floor Jeffco has the cheapest and best hardwood. I think my RedOak Hardwood 4&1/8" was $3.05 a sq ft. That was unfinished.

Have you checked Knox Rail Salvage? It's always hit or miss on what's in stock, but the price is good.

If you don't have a truck or access to one having it shipped may be the best way. Travertine and slate are especially heavy and require quite a bit more labor. You should be able to buy direct from Crossville or if in Nashville like said earlier Louisville or DalTile are both good choices and Home Depot's not that bad to be honest. I'm a flooring contractor if you need any help just ask. Hope this helps good luck.
