These two guys are going to compliment each other so well once they get to campus and will really add to our offense for the next four seasons. If any of you have not yet watched their film, be prepared to be impressed.

Wolf finishes every single block, and about 90% of the time takes the DE or OLB he is assigned to the ground. You can tell he has a mean streak and takes blocking personally. I think he enjoys it. He doesn't look very athletic, but his hands look good. If he can add some speed he will be able to help in the passing game, but I'm really excited to see him seal off the corner on some sweep plays as our main blocking TE.

Helm has more athleticism, and also appears to have good pass catching skills. He catches the ball with his HANDS, and goes up to get it high. Would not be surprised he is a good rebounder on the hoops team. He is a very good blocker as well and looks like he will be ready to contribute right away in both the passing game and in run support.

Anyone else stoked to see these guys in orange!?

The tight ends are so crucial to bajakians offense and we got two of the best coming in. Can't wait

Wolf will be our starting tackle in the future IMO.....

Idk why people keep saying this, but Wolf can catch the ball very well. He will replace Downs as an inline blocker in the spread, and he will become a goal line and short yardage receiving TE. He'll also be a blocker on punt formations, and a FB when we need one. He's not coming here to be just a line blocking player, the kid has great hands and is a playmaker.

If that's true no wonder we stall so much on offense

It's very true. CBJ and Mike B. run a slot TE formational spread, kind of like what the Niners do sometimes with Davis in single back sets. This helps with the run game as you gain another blocker on the field, as well as giving the QB a great short yardage option in the spread, though in my example Davis is a threat anytime he receives the ball. If Helm can block, he'll start from day one, and Wolf will play a lot as well, especially on special teams and short yardage situations.

It seems like our right ends have been MIA the last 1/2 of the season.

Do this for the Vandy game. Watch where Downs lines up every play. He almost always lines up right side behind the right guard or right tackle or in between the two. On run plays he will come over and become a gap control blocker. He's not a FB though! He runs to a specific gap, and blocks that gap specifically, but he doesn't necessarily block a specific man. Our offensive line doesn't do well with this because our oline doesn't move well. They are made for a zone blocking scheme not a man to man running scheme like we see now. CBJ offense is very simplistic. The routes are simplistic and the schemes are simplistic. What people don't understand is CBJ offense requires a strong QB who can pass outside the pocket, and it requires WRs who are great route runners. CBJ has already strayed away from his norm anyways. At Cincy the avg height for a WR he recruited was 6 foot even. Look at how many WR we have already got that are well above this. CBJ knows he's in the SEC and he needs bigger and faster players, but it takes time for these WRs to excel in his offense.

With the right players such as wolf and helm our offense will definitely open up. I like the dual TE sets allows extra blocking backs and can open up the middle with a balanced pass/run game. I'm going to trust in bUTch

I think Wolf will be a good player but I'm absolutely excited to see what Helm can do. He may be the best pass catching TE in the entire '14 class. I've been a huge fan since I watched that video of him dominating Adoree Jackson on back to back plays at the Rivals camp. A big, athletic TE with soft hands that knows how to use his size to his advantage is exactly what this offense is missing right now.

He has the athlectism to be a ot in this type of offense...that's my opinion, I'm not the head coach of ut...that's why its my opinion. this is a message board a place Where you post your thoughts and opinions
