Tight End Transfering????

i think we all agree that players holding the University of TN hostage or "threatening" to transfer is bush league.

I think that Coach Fulmer will probably put out many of these fires over the coming weeks. We will inevitably have some transfers, and we'll lose some recruits -- but nothing will break the bank.

The program is rebuilding whichever way you look at it. Whether we lose 2 or 3 players and recruits this year is meaningless in the long term.

From the Article:

But it's not about wins and losses - it's about competitiveness. TN is not competitive with FL, GA, Bama, and SOUTH FRICKEN CAROLINA? This is echoing jakez's earlier post to some degree, but it's not about wins and losses. It's the fact that we are not even in the big games.

But that basically is about wins and losses. I'll be honest, I read these posts by former players, family friends, and current players I cannot follow their logic. What in the world is the point of playing SEC football if you're more concerned with other things than winning? If we want to have family time we don't need a huge coaching salary to do it, and can frankly just remove the football team.

For wanting so much family, they sure played like a bunch of individuals...

Maybe we should treat the players to a week at the beach for a team building event. That's what we do here.....OMG

I don't understand how you guys can say that you don't care if any player leaves the program...These kids committed 4 years of their life to play here and most of them give their all everyday. I understand that a 3-6 record is not what we want at Tennessee, and I guarantee its not what the players want; however as fans we have to support the players we have whether they are an all-american or a walk-on because these same kids that are "expendable" could be the key for a quick turn around for a new coach. So stop being such Aholes and think about these kids on a personal level and not just pieces in your little fantasy world

What he said.
