I hope we can jump them early and play consistently on defense after that. Any moran (lol) can see just how athletic LSU is. When there's athletes on the field....a team can play really well...maybe not on a consistent basis...but they can dominate another team. Hopefully we can do what we do best next Saturday.

I wonder if anyone has ever done a comparison of FPI predictions versus the spread? Or just against bettors' straight up winner/loser predictions?

I did compare the FPI to straight winners and losers several years ago. If memory serves, at least at that time, if the FPI favored a team between 51 and something like 65%, your odds were significantly better to pick against the FPI. It was particularly bad in bowl match ups.

To be fair, I haven't looked at that since maybe 2018...so.
