Anybody know the secret to chipping directly into the cup from the fringe? I've seen multiple people online that seem to have it figured out. What's the deal???

I just read it like a put. I prefer pitching, though.

I just played Bandon Dunes for the first time on that game... Holy crap. Hopefully I'll be making a road trip south some time soon. It's about 4 hours down the coast.

I see what you're saying, but there is a trick known by serious on-liners to being able to chip it so that the ball literally lands directly on the pin/cup and goes in every time. Some people consider it cheating.

I dunno. I sink it just about every time and read it like a regular put... I mean, you can do a 100% swing every time, so that's nice. Once it clears the edge grass of the green, it rolls like a standard put.

I wouldn't consider it cheating, but its certainly a wrinkle EA will need to fix next year. That would piss me off, though.

It reminds me of Madden 96 or 97, you could just scramble your quarterback from sideline to sideline and the entire defense would unsuccessfully chase him, allowing a wide open reception or even a open field scramble. So annoying.
