Wow wow wowwowwowwowwowwowwow!!!Here we go. Those folks are smart, almost on my level. Seriously, they're very confident, and have a plan. The biggest concern is her infection, but they want her out there about a month before surgery, and then treat her themselves. Me and her would also have to use an antibiotic flush to clean her stoma every day. There's no waiting really for a bladder, and he said their area is the highest in the US for organ harvesting, so they'd basically get a match whenever they wanted. As we talked, you could see these people thinking, and even impressive what the main Dr said. He said, "this is what we do, we take cases nobody else can figure out. There's concerns, but we're confident in what we do". She'll have to stay about 3 months after, so she's going to be there for about 4 months. I'll be there until 2-3 weeks after surgery, until I know she's going to be okay. Her sister will likely stay the rest of the time. They will let her out, but stay at the hotel directly across the street. Pray for us, we got some stuff to work out, but I'm confident God will work it all out . Love you guys.
He said it'll be a couple of months likely, they have some ground work to get done. Help with finances, getting everyone prepared out there, etc. They're approved for the surgery, he's just working on getting us help, said they would, it'll just take a few weeks.Wow wow wowwowwowwowwowwowwow!!!
What's the calendar on this? When does she go out for the pre-op month?

Hubs (born and raised in LA) says you are pretty much smack downtown, a bit to the northeast of it. You're close to Chinatown, so you're covered for Chinese food if you want! (don't tell Mikey).I won't fuss about southern California during winter![]()
8 lanes and none of them move.Hubs (born and raised in LA) says you are pretty much smack downtown, a bit to the northeast of it. You're close to Chinatown, so you're covered for Chinese food if you want! (don't tell Mikey).
The map might make you optimistic, because it's just off the intersection of I-5 and I-10, but holy cow, driving in LA; don't even try! Hubs and I were once considering me transferring to the LA VA, which is literally 2.1 miles from where his parents lived. We test drove it one morning around 8, and after 20 minutes, we gave up - we had our answer. (At that point I wasn't able to walk 2.1 miles.)

Eggzackly. They were right there in Westwood, beautiful area, 4 blocks off Santa Monica Blvd., and I thought I'd lose my mind. His dad drove a massive Crown Vic with all the sharp edges worn off, and when we'd go out to dinner, I'd just cower in the back seat and pray.8 lanes and none of them move.
Hubs recommends the Westwood Village area at UCLA forYeah, I've been googling stuff. The hospital is on campus, hotel is directly across from there. There's a place called village square with a target, restaurants, etc I can walk to for stuff, but only during the day!
I'll be using the bus, it Uber if I got to go anywhere.
