I kinda put that together, but wasn’t totally positive. Just hope they knock out the c-diff and focus on the major issues sooner rather than later. Keep us posted as you can and let tiff know your imaginary friends are praying fervently for her. Praying for you and the girls too my friendOkay, I got some clarification. The antibiotics used for the kidneys fuel the c-diff. They treat c-diff with antibiotics, but it's a certain kind that doesn't cause c-diff, where the one for the kidneys at the same time is defeating the purpose.

Still praying for you guys. At least it sounds like the doc has his head screwed on straight.Little update, no coming home today, don't know when it'll be. I've left work early to take her supplies, because she only had enough for a couple of days. Surprisingly, not a hospital around has ostomy supplies. Still fighting a fever and high heart rate, and she tested positive for C-diff. So while I can go see her, I've gotta get pretty much hazmat dressed to do so.

Encouraging news! They've kept her fever down all night, low 99. They're going to try and let her go home, but her white blood count has bottomed out. Dr told her to stay inside for a few days because of that. Heart rate still up and down, but they think she'll be okay. Just a lot going on in her body with kidney infection, some staph, and the c-diff. Cough has been bad the whole time, but they've done x-ray and CT scan, and lungs are clear. I'll give her some of my cough medicine tonight, could be asthma, but she's doing breathing treatments.

Idk, hospitals kill me about stuff like this. Dr told her this morning she was probably going home, and the nurse had no idea until about an hour ago. I get they're busy, but goodness. Now the case management is working trying to find the medicine, which likely won't be today. I'm still hoping, gonna run down the road and get her a salad and steak from longhorns. Hopefully they find it by the time I get back.Dangit! Why didn't they start checking sooner so you could have a chance at getting it somewhere else??
