First I want to congratulate the VOLs for giving me what I think are at least 5 ulcers, a possible hernia, and what im sure is a coronary. I was in attendance for that great game and from what I saw from the stands was nothing short of a hard fought battle between 2 great southern teams. I think TN can take some good things away from this game, i mean the defense was mean, and the offensive gameplan was great, just not well excecuted by the players on the field. The only thing i saw that really disgusted me was a Vol player #82 was "giving it" to the student section while it was still tied 3 to 3 with 6 minutes left. Luckily one of the coaches came over and told him what i would like to think was something like "Get your head back in the game, this isnt over yet". Luckily harper put a helmet on the ball and got #82 thinking again. Thanks for a great game and i hope you guys give Notre Dame a good ole southern butt whipping.

Ok....im mailing duct tape to Anderson today. Sorry...had to say it.

But i think that notre dame will have their hands full this weekend. They havent faced a good defense this year (USC has a decent one, but not like I saw on Saturday)

Thanks....I also should mention that of all the Vol fans I saw on Friday night (which was eerily few and far between) conducted themselves very well. (well...there was one really drunk kid at Phil's, but I forgive him because he was REALLY REALLY drunk).

I would like to add something about the classy Tide fans. Walking from the stadium to my car down University Avenue, I must have shook 100 hands from mainly Alabama students telling me to "have a safe drive back to Knoxville"...."it was a great game"...etc. It was nothing but PURE SOUTHERN CLASS. Made me very proud to be a member of the SEC.

I sure hope we show Alabama the same class when they visit up here next year!
