You can find some info on the Senior Bowl practices here:

NFL Draft Countdown Senior Bowl 2007 Senior Bowl Headquarters

But I know people don't like to look through all the articles to find something about Tennessee, so I thought I'd collect some of the stuff about Jonathan Wade and Arron Sears for you.

Sears weighs in at 6'3" 317
Notes: A bit squatty but massive.
Wade weighs in at 5'9" 192
Notes: Short but solid and athletic

From Monday's practice:

Along the offensive line Central Michigan's Joe Staley was athletic and displayed excellent feet in pass pro while Arron Sears of Tennessee was quick off the snap and played with good pad level.

Wednesday:

Inside at guard Tennessee's Arron Sears got a great push while playing left guard and manipulates his opponent well but Mansfield Wrotto of Georgia Tech really struggled and, although he's giving good effort, showed he still has a lot to learn.

Tennessee's Jonathan Wade had his best day of the week, looking very agile and doing a nice job of sticking in his man's hip pocket.

Thursday:

Jonathan Wade of Tennessee also looked excellent today, breaking up a pass intended for Dallas Baker that drew loud whoops from his teammates and also intercepting a Jordan Palmer pass.

Ryan Kalil of USC, Arron Sears of Tennessee and Ben Grubbs of Auburn have been three of the more consistent performers all week long and all have a legitimate shot at breaking into the first round come April.

Also sounds like Dwayne Bowe is impressing everybody while Leak is a big disappointment.

Leak is basically Casey Clausen with quick feet but a slower release.

After all the hype a few years ago when he very publicly blew off UT and chose FLA, Leak ended up being a pretty pedestrian QB, didn't he?

I don't know that I'd go that far. IMO, he turned out to be a good college QB; just not the "great one" that some people touted him to be.

One more thing:

As I mentioned a couple days ago Athletes' Performance is one of the premier pre-draft training facilities in the country and it shows every year when they prep a handful of 1st round pick, including seven last year alone. Their current class is their best ever though according to Percy Knox, their Director of Athlete Management in Arizona......At wide receiver they have Dwayne Bowe, Sidney Rice, Dwayne Jarrett and Robert Meachem to name a few. Knox said Meachem can fly and that 4.3's are a definite possibility

Exactly. He was pretty good, no doubt, but when he was coming out of high school, people regarded him as, well, the first coming of Jimmy Clausen. And until they beat OSU a few weeks ago, I think most Florida folks regarded him as kind of a disappointment.

He was recruited by Zook, right? It would have been interesting to see what his career would have been like if he had played for The Visor at Florida. And by "interesting," I mean that I don't really want to think that much about it.

Or what if he came to UT like he said was always his dream? I wonder how our fortunes would have turned the last couple of years. Surely no diaster in '05.

Yep. What was it he said -- "Tennessee is the epitome of college football," right?

Still, as I recall it was kind of a mutual souring. His father was one of these stage parents, a la Mama Mustain, and all parties just decided they didn't want any part of each other. And it's not like we missed out on the Great College Quarterback, either -- without Tebow to come in and run up the gut on 4th and 2, Leak never wins anything in Gainesville. Just another example of how recruiting is an inexact science, to say the least.

I remember him saying we lied to his brother and never gave him a chance to start...though C.J did start the '02 uga game and did so well that he ended up on the bench by the 3rd quarter and never started again.

Leak actually drew good reviews early in the week, but trailed off.

David Clowney, Aaron Rouse, Dwayne Bowe, and Ryan Kalil are all moving up fast!

I don't remember CJ Leak lasting nearly that long. In fact, I think I remember that he got yanked after just one series.

you're correct. he lasted one series.

In fact, we ran on first and second downs, gaining about a yard on each carry, which left CJ with a difficult 3rd and 8 on the road in Athens...he threw an incompletion and we replaced him with Banks on the next series.

Not that I supported Chris Leak or his comments after the game, but it did seem like CJ wasn't given a fair chance to prove himself as the starter. I do think James Banks was the better quarterback though.

He actually lasted 3 series. The first 2 and then one late in the 3rd.

1st 2 series of the game:

1st down - J. Davis rush for 2 yards
2nd down - J. Davis rush for 4 yards
3rd down - Leak sacked for 10 yard loss
punt

1st down - J. Davis rush for 3 yards
2nd down - J. Davis rush for 3 yards
3rd down - Leak rush for 3 yards
punt

His first pass was late in the 3rd quarter. He completed a 9 yard pass and then Tinsley ran for a first down. Leak threw incomplete, got sacked, threw incomplete and that was it for him.

I'll take your word for it . . . but I really don't remember him coming back into the game. I just remember that I was sitting in the club level in Athens and the average age around me was about 103.

I remember the first 2 series well, but I don't remember him coming back either. But that is from the play-by-play on utsports.com.

As buttugly a game as that was, it's easy to forget who was in at QB. I was in the stadium and the only two offensive plays I can remember are the one where Kelley Washington got hurt and a halfback pass for a TD down on the goal line.

It was very forgettable. I was surprised to see the stats on Banks, cause I thought I remembered him having a miserable passing day, but he was 10-15 for 168 yards and a TD. That's pretty good. The things I remember from that game are Banks dropping back for a pass then trying to scramble and ending up with a 15 yard loss.

Yeah I knew it was more then one series because I remember he started and also came back after Banks. He had a chance. But to be fair that team had only one receiver who Im sure was doubled most of the game and he was going against the eventual sec champs...on the road. Definately not an ideal situation to break in the backup and a freshman qb.
