Tickets and Fan Attendance for Homecoming

Taking my 6 year old daughter to her first game this weekend! We were watching the final seconds of the Gator game (me sitting heartbroken with a beer in hand) and then AJ Johnson dove over the line to sack that SOB Gator before he could kneel it. She jumped up and cheered and said "Dad, I can't wait until I can go to a game!" Bought tickets the next day.

We lost another close game...that's what football is all about. We got 7 more chances to win this year. Go Big O

I said the following in another thread and I got criticized by some for it, but I hope it's a long week because there are a lot of bitter and dejected fans right now. And, I do mean fans. These are people that love this program, but they just got punched in the gut on Saturday so they need some time to come to terms with it.

What some folks don't understand (and I'm not talking about me) is that some fans are experiencing a real sense of loss after Saturday, right or wrong, selfish or not. Those folks have to deal with that in their own way and in their own time before you see attendance regain some of the momentum it had.

Spot on dude!

I would go cuz tickets will be easy to come by but the NHL gets going this week (thank the Lord) and will be at Preds game Saturday. However, unlike most people, I'm willing to move on. Butch will build this program up regardless of what happened on Saturday.

All I have to say is please keep expectations to what you thought at the beginning of the year. Most expected 6-6 or 7-5, including myself. Did I think we'd beat Florida? YES!! Did it happen? NO! It's not the end of the world. We laid an egg which most teams do. Look at OU, South Carolina (although UK is much improved), and Oregon.

I'm moving on as most people should. We still have very winnable games against South Carolina, Mizzou, UK, and Vandy. Who's to say we don't pull off a win against Ole Miss?! I understand people's frustrations with the offensive play calling which is whole other rant I could go on. I realize I'll probably get flamed but I really don't care. I still believe Butch is the man.

As this years schedule is brutal, ticket holders should go to this game because wins may be a little scarce.

Good game to take your kids to if you're local. Sadly I can't make it up there because of the distance.

If I lived in Knoxville I'd go. But I just sold my 2 tickets after being on Craigslist for a week in Nashville. We will see you guys on the 3rd Saturday in October.

I don't have tickets, but may try to go. Just like going to a live ballgame. If somebody is giving tickets away, tnsportsman20@yahoo.com. I'm willing to bet most tickets will be sold for $10 or less before the game.

If anyone has 2 tickets they aren't using and can't get rid of let me know I would love to have them, I added my email below. I am taking someone to their first Vol football game! trying to convert a UK fan. Wish me luck!

It will sell out because 30,000 in crimson show up.

I hope this is wrong. This team has played there butts off this year and I hope we can get past the Fl loss and support the players . We've have a lot of recruits looking at UT right now and the players up on the hill need the fans now more than ever.
