We have an extra ticket for Homecoming and no one wants it. I posted it on FB and also sent out emails to friends. Does this mean the fans will not turn out Saturday? Come on, Vol Nation, be there and support your team! I know last Saturday was disappointing, to put it mildly, but the team needs the fans more than ever. Be there and be loud!

I said the following in another thread and I got criticized by some for it, but I hope it's a long week because there are a lot of bitter and dejected fans right now. And, I do mean fans. These are people that love this program, but they just got punched in the gut on Saturday so they need some time to come to terms with it.

What some folks don't understand (and I'm not talking about me) is that some fans are experiencing a real sense of loss after Saturday, right or wrong, selfish or not. Those folks have to deal with that in their own way and in their own time before you see attendance regain some of the momentum it had.

most fans will be back for the utc game---it will not be a sellout.

The only game left that will sell out is Alabama and that's because 1/3 of the crowd will be wearing crimson.

Nope. The mood of the fans took a beating Saturday. It was evident walking out of the stadium.

It was like a deflated balloon.

Slogans and feel good coach speak won't do it for some now. It's going to take results. If results don't come, then its a bigger uphill battle for Jones. Not only will he have to continuously convince top notch recruits that he's turning UT around, he has to start all over again with a portion of the fan base. Eventually, he's going to have to show this continuous improvement he preaches

Honestly if we had just beaten this Florida team, the momentum train would really keep rolling for this season despite whatever came up (at least in the fans mentality) short of missing a bowl game, losing to Vandy again, etc. Jones will have to pull a major win against Ole Miss or Bama to really get some of that lost momentum back. I'm not saying I expect it, just stating the seemingly obvious.

I'll be honest - I've gone to every game this season... This will be the first weekend that I have zero desire to go. And I'm from Chattanooga. I really don't see many people showing up to this one.

UTC vs Tennessee was never going to be a good game. So the place wasn't going to sell out regardless if we beat florida or not. But after losing the way we did, it was just too emotionally draining and deflating to have the motivation to go watch this week.

Let's hope the players are a little more mature than I am and can fight through it. Easy team or not - It's going to be tough to bounce and play well after an emotional loss like last week.

The way they start the game on Saturday will say a lot about our team.

I feel like we'll have a good crowd for the bama game just for the fact that kiffin will be coming back. Many on here will not like the constant "F U kiffin" Chang ringing throughout the stadium

its an off weekend and fall break here in mid tn. 1000's of fans from here with season tickets are headed to the beach or wherever they go. If we would've won saturday, there would still be empty seats.
If you looked around the league the last couple of years at these games, empties were commonplace.
And I have 4 chairbacks up top. May end up donating them.

The fans knew. When UF punched in the Worley fumble you could feel it. Even clinging to the lead.

The season hangs on November. Gonna take 3 out of 4 to make a bowl.

Pretty much. Losing Saturday made it easier for some to decide but its a dud game none the less with 2 curb stompings to follow.

One of the first things I thought after the surreal and almost voluntary vomiting Saturday....there may not be 65K there for UTC...

The UTC game will probably have around 85,000 to 90,000 while the Alabama game will be a sellout because of Kiffin's return and fans will let him know how they feel about his adrupt departure from UT.

I saw more apathetic fans than anything. Come to expect a loss

It will sell out because 30,000 in crimson show up.

I would take the ticket if I lived closer. Neyland is still a great place to be Saturday.
