Does anyone know how many tickets they sold for this game? Was it a sellout? How many tickets were sold to vols fans? Thanks

According to the FL msg board we didn't sellout our allotment and they were saying stuff like "I guess Alabama is the only school this year that will buy all of them"

Ask whoever posted that how many away games he plans on travelling to.

Yea, exactly. Since he is anonymous of course he would reply with "all of them". I am sure we have a bigger showing than FL would if they had the lack of success we have had recently.

On his show today Tony Basilio said there are "thousands" of unsold tickets.

How times have changed.

I went on uttix a couple weeks ago and it said only single tickets available for UF and now you can get 4 or more together on there.. So i picked up mine on stub hub for the same price...but would rather have went through UT..what's up w/ that?

It was the boosters that used to buy them anyways. They might go and if not give them to friends and clients. Problem with that is those are the type of people who act ashamed to celebrate any big play by doing anything more than a hand clap. When the other team is in a 3rd or 4th down predicament they sit on their hands. Very few real fans get to go that get rowdy.

Who'd have thunk losing 6 straight and having piss balloons tossed at you would suppress opponent attendance.

i have heard this mentioned in several threads on many different forums at many different stadiums. I have been on the road and been to prob a hundred home games and have never seen this. Did it possibly happen many years ago and is just still harped upon or does this actually happen currently. I mean I can certainly imagine its possible but .... I have never seen a balloon even thrown in the Swamp. I have sat all over including student section and was just curious where this comes from.

Obviously the piss balloons worked.

Wish we had something that would keep opposing fans out of Neyland.

I was there in '01 and '03 and there were all kinds of tickets there for very cheap. Could get in for $20 no problem both times. In '01 we were both top 5 playing for shot at SEC and national title. Maybe times haven't changed that much.

Stupid fake fans, they're nothing but a bunch of posers. :)
