I haven't been up to Knox in a while but I was shocked at how expensive it is for a single ticket to the auburn game next week...are the tickets hard to find up there? From the discussions every week it seems people say the stadium doesn't even look full so someone must be buying up these seats in bulk I assume? Has the prices for going to the games just gone up since the last time I visited?

You guys in the south have no idea.. live in the liberal north for a week..it is BEYOND insane. Tennessee's prices are on the reasonable side IMO. I understand the commercial difference between pro and college.. but NFL in the northeast is kinda like SEC football in the south east. I can't go to a patriots game without spending $300.. and thats just tickets and parking.

My tickets for the auburn game were $75/ ticket.. That was section KK. There were some seats down lower but they did not have enough for our group to be together.

I got tickets in the lower level right next to the band back before the season started for about $90 a piece. That was before UT was doing better and before Auburn was ranked 11.

Gillette Stadium is a bandbox with less than 69K seats in a multi-million population megapolis. It is an apples to oranges comparison.

UT ticket prices will maintain a market level until the winning returns to the norm. Then ticket prices will be sky high again. Auburn is a tough ticket because it is an SEC game that UT can win AND is homecoming. Typical homecoming games have been Jones Academy of Bookbinding or the Little Sisters of Mercy School for Intellectually Challenged.

I can't find a ticket for less than 100 if you want more than one together...not saying it's not totally worth it which it is considering hi only get to see my beloved once a year if possible...but just suprised I couldn't find some upper level tickets for like 65 a pop is all...maybe it's just cuz I'm used to dolphins games lol

The ticket office told me Auburn was buying up there tickets. That was the day the triple pack went on sale. Now that they are #11, it's gonna be an expensive ticket. Honestly, I don't see us beating them. I think there offensive will be able to move the ball and they'll outscore us.

Check knoxville craigslist and stub hub. I got USC tickets lower level sidline for 90. If you want to risk if everyone says they are cheapest 30mins before kickoff from scalpers.

Just looked at all the 'usual' ticket sites...many singles, but not many with 2 or 3 seats together. And those singles are starting in the $90 range.

Tennessee has ended up with thousands of tickets left for every game thus far. They are not being bought up in bulk. scalpers always get theirs to resale, but many upper deck tickets go not bought and quite a few lower levels.
