Man, I'm pumped.
Everyone is pushing each other. Nobody's spot is safe. People are stepping up. Wes Brown is playing with a crap knee, Montori Hughes is acting like he's a senior, running backs are getting drilled and popping right back up again, receivers are making athletic catches, quarterbacks put their pants on right, special teams are looking good, seems we've found a new punter, the secondary is appearing to be loaded, the offensive line (which was a HUGE concern) is looking solid, against a defensive line that we KNOW is good. Our linebackers made some good hits today. Hearing more from some upperclassmen that we wondered if they were still on the team. Freshmen are making these upperclassmen work. I want Monte Kiffin to be my grandfather, he's pretty much the coolest old guy ever. These coaches have fire in their bellies, and it transfers to the players. Johnny Majors loves our practices, Lane Kiffin being a throwback, intensity, hard hitting, no babying, no excuses.
I want to just BE at one of these practices. They seem almost as exciting as a real game. I just cannot watch all of this videos and hear these interviews and read these articles, without KNOWING that this HAS to translate onto the field.
Less than a month...less than a month. Almost there VN.
