I always just take a "meta" approach to it. I keep an eye on the polls and scores, and just try to watch the games that have the most promise to be entertaining, or the most entertaining teams that particular year.

I did this during the Dooley (UT)/Hope and Hazel (Purdue) years as my teams were not fun to watch. Butch kind of changed that for a while but then when I watched the GT game, I was like it's the same stuff different year, and went back to doing it again.

Purdue had promise, but it's obvious Brohm is not long term by any stretch (which is totally understandable). Tennessee was definitely not fun to watch this year, and unless something totally comes out of left field in a gotcha moment from the AD, I don't see the future being very bright there either.

yep, the last time TN was really fun to watch..... (wait for it)......
KIFFIN tenure!

Our next coach 100% possesses all of the qualities you mention.

Ok...I will be the idiot that takes the bait and when it all goes South everyone (including me will ridicule me).

When is this supposed 100% done deal, slam dunk, splash hire going to grace us all with his presence? I guess this could all be one helluva smokescreen...why not? Nothing about this last week has made one bit of sense. Just seems weird that no one, NO ONE else seems to have your info (former players, prominent boosters, people in here). Just seems far fetched but hell like I said before I am willing to dream instead of mulling over our disastrous decade one more time.

He's proved he's a great OC and a good head coach. He also royally screwed our football program less than a decade ago.

But the big deal to me is his immaturity. Did you even see the link I posted?!?

HE'S TROLLING US!!!!!!!!

Holy ****, he's trolling the AD. Can you not see it?

Kiffin would probably be my first choice because I've never cared much for Sumlin but I don't see how anybody can say these two aren't the best available. Hiring Kiffin has its obvious hurdles so Sumlin is likely a better possibility. Plus, he knows the SEC, he's always been very competitive with the best of the best. Also, he would probably not have an issue getting Chavis to come with him as DC. (regardless of what you think about him, hes a respected DC)

Get either one done Currie.

The perception that UT is national laughingstock and we have "Battered Vol Syndrome" for wanting Lane back is laughable. However, I love that perception. Because Lane Kiffin has a mo'fo EGO on him.

If the perception is that no one wants this job, imagine the size of Lane's Ego the minute he got to Atlanta or won the SEC... Now imagine it if it happened with us beating Saban.....

Its a no brainer. We need a d!ck as head coach with an ego the size of Neyland Stadium.

Lane is so clearly the best option for us its comical. His resume is by far the best, certainly better than what they have been entertaining.

Couldnt have said it better its going to take a coach with giant balls to come here . Kiffin is the only guy i see that could handle the pressure cooker that has become UT football.. Funny thing is he would thrive on it and love it . WE would to in a very short time. Get loud dont give up this fight and get the word out in social media tell everyone to tell everyone . Im not going to give up . I got banned yesterday and i may get banned again but so be it. GO BIG ORANGE

Please, can this just stop? He mocks us on twitter, He pokes fun every chance he gets. Can for the love of all that's orange can this crap just stop?

Fan's rallying around him coming back look foolish to say the least. Even the Board Owner/admin are are his side. You look inept. Sorry but it's the truth. Too many of the big boosters will shoot this down and you're wasting your time posting garbage to get him here.

The man can develop QB's, ( i get that, The man can coach offense, I get that, but the man is a pimple that should be popped and never, repeat never be looked at again as a viable coach at UT)!

He had his chance, many of Tennessee fans slept on the floor the night he left. Can you not rem this? Please back off this drivel because it makes us all look stupid in the end and as before, I pulled my donations and stopped my season tickets when Currie was hired. My grandaddy taught me one thing, "Take a man for his worth, his word, and handshake", lane fails on all three!

If he admitted his mistake, and sincerely wants to be at Tennessee, then, under the circumstances, I'd welcome him back. We all make mistakes.

Who do you want to hire ?

I don't have a dog in this fight other than I have been a UT fan since I was a child (mostly because my father was a big time Alabama fan). I played ball at a 1AA school with Steve Kiners little brother and was even more hooked after meeting him, but my son plays for the Huntingdon Hawks, hence the avatar but I only want to see UT succeed.

Tee Martin
Les Miles
Neal Brown
Anyone but DD from NCS
And the pipe dream of Kiffin will never happen nor should it. Too many big boosters will never allow this.

But I stopped buying tickets and stopped my donation when David Blackburn and Coach Fulmer were passed over to hire Currie. I took my stand early and still stand by it but I see the effort wasted on bringing Kiffin back as just that. DEAF EARS

Go Hawks and GBO!!!!

Did that answer your question?
