Yep that was another rule from the Dark Ages. You had one pivot foot and if it moved a fraction, it was a walk. Saw an Auburn player move his 3 times on the same play. The problem with the new interpretation is that giving the offensive player two pivot feet negates good defensive positioning. I've seen it dozens of times, and it's especially irksome when the color announcer (who usually played the game) goes off on what a killer offensive move was made.
How exactly has Auburn been embarrassed? Close losses to all ranked teams (4 of the 5 of which against teams in the top 10 in the nation). I mean, played down to expectations sure, but embarrassed is a tad extreme lol#1 seeds don't get EMBARRASSED on the court in February in the middle of league play.
The previous poster was not referencing Auburn. I don't suspect you have an opinion on the actual subject. How exactly has Auburn been embarrassed? I think maybe the idiot refs did miss a 5 second inbound violation on Igor though or maybe they were to dumb to know the ruleOfficials absolutely tried to take this game from the vols. Two times in a row they called it auburn ball but after review it was Tn ball. Just one example, there were many more.
Lots of traveling in today's game. Watch a player take a pass, and walk two steps or take two hops to cancel his momentum. Watch almost anyone dribble, and pause the ball at the top of the dribble with a hand underneath it. Watch a player make a small hop with both feet, to slightly adjust foot position, before beginning a dribble.I thought the original rule was that you get 1 and a half steps. When you picked up the dribble, you got one step and up. Any more than than that was walking. At least it was back in the Dark Ages when I played. I know things are a lot more liberal in the rules these days. They don’t call 3 seconds, charging or over the back either.

Makes many shots less difficult with the allowance of blatant, textbook traveling violationsThe problem with the new interpretation is that giving the offensive player two pivot feet negates good defensive positioning. That actually didn't change that long ago in college. Even in the NBA they call the pivot foot violation more so than in college nowYep that was another rule from the Dark Ages. You had one pivot foot and if it moved a fraction, it was a walk. Saw an Auburn player move his 3 times on the same play.
That’s who he is referring to…..Wow that rules out FL TOO, with our more recent 20 point beat down of them.
Yeah Bilas said he hit him with openBroome is getting the NBA star treatment. Breathe on him and it’s a foul. But it’s OK for him to deliver a deliberate stiff arm and hand to Gainey’s face. That was not “incidental contact”. Great college player but he is now getting what we should forevermore call The Edey Effect.
