Im just gonna throw this out there. If you want it pick it up if not you can throw it right back..

You dont have to be a great head coach, but if you wanna win you have to surround yourself with great assistants, etc.

And that is what CLK has done. The guy wants to win. He took a pay cut to hire an allstar staff. Sorry if this has already been discussed, im just tired of ESPN and all others saying CLK better watch his mouth until he wins a game. I have been seeing this brought up more and more lately when Tennessee is discussed on the news. Are you kicking around what im throwing down vol fans! Sorry too much coffee for the day! :dance2:

That is pretty much the leadership philosophy of Jack Welch. He said as long as you surround yourself with competent and good people, you will be successful. As long as you can manage your staff. We will see how well CLK can manage his assistants and make sure they have everything they need.

CLK has not said anything of late. ESPN just keeps beating a dead horse. The only news they have is old news, so they just keep scratching the old scab off.

no different than any company/corporation. Quality staff is a must. If not, there will be a breakdown. The whole chain is only as strong as it's weakest link adage.

Exactly. The young (insert any term badmouthing Kiffin) did exactly what he said he was going to from the get-go.

He said he was going to assemble the best staff in college football. Check.
He said he was going to put the Power T back in the national spotlight. Check.
He said he was going to search far and near for the best talent. Check.

Since then, he hasn't said alot. Now he has to win ball games.

Since practice started he has not said much at all sounds like he's on the ball coaching this team up gettin UT back to where they're supposed be on top baby can't wait
GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!

That is exactly what Sam Walton did when he started wal-mart and sam's club. When I started the MIT program after college, we had to read his book and study other internal stuff for three months.
