Throw it all out the window

I would be happy if we kept the special teams. Butch gets credit for a big improvement in that dept. People had moaned about ST for 10 years b4 CBJ came. I will give the man credit for that.

As I understand spec. teams account for 1/3rd of a game or team... What about the other 2/3rds?? As I understand math, 2/3rds is way better than 1/3rd. Takes a total team playing 3/3rds of the time to be very good.

I think that Pruitts offense and defense will slowly be implemented as he is able to get his type of recruits. So we should see the type of offense and defense that these players are suited for. Why try to put square peg in round hole and lose games your first two seasons Need to see improvement immediately and wins immediately
As others have thought on here, what do we have to lose by scrapping the whole thing and starting over? Can't be much worse than it look right now.
What we may see is how good this new staff is a teaching and changing the mind set of the guys "left over". If they can turn them around and make better players out of them,, well we can have something to look forward to.

Bit of advice: make sure you put a comma in that second sentence, as the meaning changes quite a bit without.

I lived in Soddy Daisy for 2 years. Went to John H. Allen Elementary back in the late 70’s. Got 2 degrees from UTK. Commas are for old ladies and girly men. Come wherever you want. :eek:lol:

GO VOLS!
Merry Christmas VolNation!

Great post SSS and Soddy, liked! :)

Merry Christmas to all Volnation
Starting out 2018 with a new offensive scheme..the one Pruitt envisions
Starting out 2018 with a new defensive scheme..the one Pruitt envisions
We shall see the defensive scheme on display again..actually in a matter of days
1..So on offensive line, as of now, all I know is Trey Smith and Drew Richmond
2..We are set at the running back position
3..QB position could be up for grabs
4..receiver postion..we have johnson and callaway and palmer
5..tight ends...??????????????????
6..D Line...I dont even know myself...well, one and that is Tuttle
7..D ends...Taylor and Phillips...or someone else...butler:?
8..Linebackers...all I know is Butili..he has the size and stamina and proved it
9..Backfield...all I know is Warrior
Pruitt will probably come in and walk on a lot of players feelings...you can see he already knows how porous we already are so he is trying to recruit the plug and play guys right off the bat...he is offering immediate playing time..
If any of you guys have noticed and specifically when he was introduced at the basketball game...pruitt is not one who is much on words or show...
New Sheriff in town guys and Pruitt has the badge and enforcement behind him to prove it...their may be a lot of spring cleaning about to hit...Pruitt way or the highway..we are now going to see who the workers are and who the players are...we will see who is tennessee
Please feel free to fill in the positions I cannot...

Throw the players out the window, too? Most will be returners, not new blood. I'm not taking a position on this possibility, but they are certainly a central part of the equation, if you see 6-9 wins on the horizon.

Old system will be long long gone...good riddance....
The delay has been too long already
I'm telling you right now I think JP will lay it on the line to start with....walk the line or hit the road...he will make a player out of them or a transfer imo...this guy isnt taking any lip....
This time we probably do have one of the best coaching staffs in america....they will spot who can play which postion and plug them in there....the fans and media will not have to wonder why more talented players are sitting on the bench....
These guys have been hired and paid to win NOW
They know they need the biggies to start with and are selling them on instant playing time
I THINK A NEW DAY HAS ARRIVED IN TENNESSEE FOR TENNESEE FOOTBALL
and we are going to see the improvements immediately just watch and see
