I was a friend of Bill Battle, but I have to admit he just could not recruit football,players. He was a really good. Xs& Os coach but couldn’t get the Jimmies and Joes needed to win in the SEC.

The tough reality of football. I do wish it could be about just the Xs and Os sometimes.

But hey.. technically Bill landed the greatest recruit of all time. He landed Saban.
