Through 4 games....Dormady vs Worley

And it was said that UGa's line would be their achilles heel. They looked good last night to me.

The difference is UGA had a problem on the O-line and Smart fixed it in the offseason while we've had a problem on the O-line and Butch says we don't have a problem, you just don't understand football, I'm right and my scheme works and I'll show you it works because I'm smarter than all these other head coaches. A man that can't take criticism is doomed to fail

Bobby Scott, Fuad Reveiz, and several others keep saying that the o-line was being blown up by UMASS, making them look like All-Americans.

Im mainly speaking for the first 3 games. I'll admit that I wasn't paying a lot of attention to the UMass game.

I think he's holding the ball too long on a lot of plays. He is getting a good 3-4 seconds before he is hurried most of the time.

If the receivers run the wrong routes (Palmer and Callaway), run weak routes, can't get separation, etc, of course the QB is going to hold it. It's all intertwined.

I'm not saying QD is perfect, he's not. But he's also shown that he can make the plays when needed, has the poise despite the mistakes, and can win when his teammates do their jobs.

And, as I said, the o-line gave up 37 QB hurries in 109 dropbacks in those first 3 games. That's not good.

Hey boys, I did some comparison just for fun.

In,2013 first 4 games under Butch with Justin Worley (2-2) with W’s against Austin Peay (ended 8-4) and Western Kentucky (ended 0-12) and L’s against #2 Oregon (ended 11-2) and #21 UF (who ended up 4-8).

Worley 45-80 for 56% completion. 6 TD’s and 3 Ints with 22 yards rushing...

Dormady so far 71-121 for 58% completion for 6 TD’s and 4 Ints with 4 yards rushing….

Where are all the dormady is more athletic than you think people?

Looks like Garantano does not prepare mentally like he should. Looks like McBride should be given a chance.

I agree with all of this. I was just commenting on the statement that our O line couldn't pass protect.

You didn't throw JG's numbers in there...hmm

Ok... Both dealt with o-lines that can't pass protect, inexperienced receivers, and first time starting.
Are you really hoping to compare the OL now to 4 years ago?

QD gets plenty of time to make plays. He just isn't any good. Any throw over 15 yards is inaccurate. Should have 3 or 4 more INT's if the defenses we played other than UF were any good.

Great we have Worley at QB again how wonderful to be a Vol.

And if our receivers were any good, he'd have 15 more completions and 3-4 more TDs. See, I can play the "if" game too.

And read the post above this one. I'm tired of posting it over and over. Our o-line is not good in pass protection. You've got Fuad Reveiz and Bobby Scott complaining about them. I'll take their opinions over yours.

Need to go to the double running back and drop the TE and see if we have a few more options with Dormady.
