Through 4 games....Dormady vs Worley

Hey boys, I did some comparison just for fun.

In,2013 first 4 games under Butch with Justin Worley (2-2) with W’s against Austin Peay (ended 8-4) and Western Kentucky (ended 0-12) and L’s against #2 Oregon (ended 11-2) and #21 UF (who ended up 4-8).

Worley 45-80 for 56% completion. 6 TD’s and 3 Ints with 22 yards rushing...

Dormady so far 71-121 for 58% completion for 6 TD’s and 4 Ints with 4 yards rushing….

Ok... Both dealt with o-lines that can't pass protect, inexperienced receivers, and first time starting.

What im saying is that in year 5 you should be alot better then in year 1. Im certainly not blaming Dormady. I think he is good, just needs some seasoning. Just sad.

I don't know what to think of our QB's...no evidence so far that we are getting ANY return from our QB coach. We see all these other first time starters, or frosh/redshirt frosh lighting it up, and we can't seem to develop or find someone legit. Wonder if S. Jones didn't bolt, if he'd be getting PT. UF not much better, except at least they're winning games.

Dormady is a little gun shy. First sign of pressure he rushes his throws. When he sets his feet is very accurate. When he throws off his back foot it tends to go high or gets no zip.

In the first 3 games, the o-line gave up 37 QB hurries out of 109 dropbacks. That's 35% of the time there's a QB hurry. That's not good.

Bobby Scott, Fuad Reveiz, and several others keep saying that the o-line was being blown up by UMASS, making them look like All-Americans.

yep, thought I had seen this before. It's Worley 2.0, while Georgia has a freshman playing with poise, making runs, throwing the all like crazy, etc.
I thought we had two QB,s, and I think JG will be good. In another offense Dormady would be just fine, but not in ours.

We are seeing exactly how much Dobbs raw athleticism bailed out Butch time and time again and how much it disguised our deficiencies for 3 years. The deficiencies are still there and it's plain to see.

What I don't understand is why Butch recruited him. He didnt inherit this kid, he chose him. I'm also disturbed by what I've seen from JG and how.thr team responds to him.

Jones loves to discuss complimentary football but this O line looks no better than it has in years past and the wide receivers still routinely drop passes and make a multitude of other mistakes we have seen since Jones showed up.

Until the other groups step up their respective games...neither Dormady or Guarantano will look very good.

As the players change and the problems remains it becomes more clear with each passing game and season the problems start at the top and with the system.

Then this proves in 5 years he can't develop talent. No way a team should have the same issues in year 1 and year 5. Who are we the Cleveland Browns?

And the same things happened against App last season.

This offensive line has highly rated players across the board with access to the best S and C facilities in the country yet plays soft. It's a reflection of the coaching from the top down.

Jones passes himself and his team off as being tough but they are a finesse offense that has to rely on individual ability to get any production.

The only guy who has done anything is Kelly and he has done more with sheer effort and ability than anything his o line or the scheme has done for him.

Miss the days when we'd put a hand on the ground and fire off the ball to deliver a blow instead of letting the DL bring the action.

And it was said that UGa's line would be their achilles heel. They looked good last night to me.

Its like Les Miles, just in reverse. Les recruited mobile QB's to run a pro style offense, while CBJ recruits a passer to run an option based system. You just cant ask guys to be something they are not. This is going to be a train wreck, everyone will just gear up to stop JK and put pressure on Dormady. Long season ahead...

I think he's holding the ball too long on a lot of plays. He is getting a good 3-4 seconds before he is hurried most of the time.

You and me both bro.

That's why Alabama is so consistently good. They keep things simple and beat the hell out of the guys across from them at the LOS on both sides of the ball.

Until Jones gets over himself and these cute gimmicks we will keep having the same discussions year after year.
