1. Have the big new TCL ready and waiting.
2. Have 60 strong tray of Zaxby wings covered in Terry Ho's original Yum Yum sauce
3. Piles of self-cut celery, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower with a self-made red onion-garlic-Parmesan sauce.
4. A small tub filled with ice and Red Stripe bottled beer (actually only 8 bottles since it's just me and Shirley).

If we win, the next day we celebrate with a dinner of bison hump roast, turnip greens, steamed carrots, hush puppies, and red chateau de garlic wine. The wine is pre-ordered from Rapazzini Winery, the only people I know who sells it.
What wine??

I'll be smoking ribs before and during the game. We'll chow down during the 4th quarter and post-game. We'll have the usual in-game snacks with nothing special. I usually focus on the game and block everything else out. Good thing is that I have remote temp sensors for the smoker so I can go out during commercials to add wood.

This has to be one of the greatest days of the year. Lots of football for several days. What a great way to start the season. Probably will get some Buffalo Wild Wings and enjoy the day.

As I said Rapazzini Château de Garlic. Sold only, far as I know, by Rapazzini Winery. It's a garlic flavored red. Of course it's offbeat but then, by now you know I'm not your typical Vols fan. My adventures, including culinary explorations take me well beyond the realm of the mundane. About the only thing Shirley and I haven't sample yet is wildebeest, ibex, moose, and goral.

Plan on having a big shrimp broil with music and cornhole before the game. With multiple cold drinks and hopefully a lot of singing of Rocky Top

I'll be in Charleston, SC beachin' it that day. Probably walk off the beach into one of the bars and watch it with all my new friends.
Was at IOP last week... Had some great food. If you're at IOP, I recommend Morgan street grille.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, with the kids jingle belling and everyone telling you to be of good cheer.

Well, let's don't get in too big of a hurry. These fb seasons race by. Once it really starts, it's over in a blurry flash. Just enjoy every minute of the preseason practice and hopeful expectations. It will begin before you know it. Get you old Chevy vans and bbq grills ready. BTW, why did Chevy stop making those vans with cabin seats etal?

I have a chevy van. Last game I saw while in the city of Charlotte was the '98 Fiesta Bowl. I was woking there at the time. Up I-81 and down I-77 in a little over 3 hrs. sounds like a winner. May hang out at the gates and see what tickets are available but already know downtown will be jumping so that doesn't matter all that much. Expecting a few invites to a cookout from a couple of friends but want to see "live action" under this new regime more than I have in a long time. I feel UT is coming back to it's "glory days" and CJP is strictly business.
