Worst: We put 8 in the box to stop the run and McElroy has a day passing like JP Wison in 2007 or Gary Hollingsworth did in the early 90's.
Crompton reverts to his UCLA form and Arenas returns a kick for a TD.
We lose by 30+ points.:cray:
Best: We stop Ingram and able to put pressure on Bama's QB resulting in multiple turnovers including a Berry pick-six.
Jon Crompton plays flawlessly and we are able to gain 150+ yards rushing. Either Nu'Keese, Bryce Brown or Oku breaks a long TD.
JC and Berry lead our Band in a post game rendetion Of "Rocky Top"!

Likely: We play respectable and Bama grinds out a late TD to win. A couple of controversial calls go against the VOLs, in the SEC and CBS's conspiracy to have Flordia and Bama be undefeated in December.

outcome hinges on the QB play.

JC will be the game MVP -- whether it is for us or them is the question.

By God JC is gonna come out and play the game of his life today. The bammers are gonna be disgusted as their Natioanl Title hopes go down today in front of their inbred fans.

I think we'll be a TD better in each half, with the final TD coming with about 5 min left in the game to put it away. I think the UT D-line will be worn down by the running game in the 4th quarter, which has happened to all of our opponents this year. This is no slam against UT, but you just don't have the horsepower to keep up in this game unless we turn the ball over a lot.

ala bama v usc jr. maybe you guys will have this many turnovers and some how the vols will actually capitalize, which we havent done so far. We need to create mor turnovers and start making points out of them.

Woah cool look how the word ala and bama spell alabama. i dont know if that is a pun or what but they are to seperate words so that was pretty cool

He'll get a share of the credit or all of the blame from many here.... but the real question mark is UT's WR play. If they play like they finally did against UGA then UT has a shot. IF they revert back to everything they did prior to that (dropping passes, running routes wrong, running the right route incorrectly, making the wrong reads, etc) then UT will become completely one dimensional... and Bama will stop that too. Bad WR play will also cause JC to start trying to force things or get hesitant again.... resulting in INT's he'll also be roundly condemned for.

True. Therefore UT can't let Bama become run only. They have to force McElroy to make plays. If I can figure this out... then one of the greatest minds in the history of NFL D can too.

This is no slam against UT, but you just don't have the horsepower to keep up in this game unless we turn the ball over a lot.
No. Not necessarily.

First, every SEC team including Vandy has the horses to beat Bama right now if they can force you out of your run game and into a pass first O. Your O just hasn't been playing that well outside of Ingram and Richardson.

Second, UT can't afford to give you ST's or defensive TD's.

UT is slightly more talented than USCe and much better coached. USCe gave themselves a shot to win and very well might have had they not given you the early easy points. They missed a makeable FG and left one at your 4 to end the game. Garcia went 16/28 in the 2nd half vs you after a 4/16 start. I think he had something like 11 completions in the 4th qtr, right?

Bama isn't nearly as invinceable as you think.

If you turn the ball over, don't tackle well every down, rack up undisciplined penalties, miss assignments, give up 3rd down conversions or fail to make catches then you have no right to ever blame an official. If a team goes out and takes care of business, then the refs shouldn't even be an issue. Just my opinion.

No team is unbeatable, but some teams are certainly more consistent week in and week out. It's entirely possible that we could come out flat (which I believe we did last week against USCe) and Crompton lights up our D, but I think you would have to agree it's not likely.

Kickoff in one hour. We'll see which teams show up.
